I have - only do one day a week... and that day usually floats. I'm good till about 2 or 3 p.m., then my stomach won't shut up till the next morning, when I break the fast.

371to184, thank you for your advice! I'm thinking a full day of fasting will be too hard on me, so planning on fasting from 6pm-8am ( basically just stop eating at 6 ) I'll update u guys!

I do intermittent fasting - didn't realize there was a name for it until I started using FS. I do it the opposite of most people. I usually have breakfast between 6-7am and my last meal between noon and 2pm or so. I do not do Atkins or low carbs. Just watch portions and try to limit fat more than anything. If I get hungry late afternoon or evening (that doesn't happen often) I will have a cup of hot tea or a diet pepsi or water.

I 16/8 IF a couple times a week but I do not decrease my calories.

Fritzy 22- that's the goal, to stop eating after lunch basically, but today was my first day trying to fast and even tho I ate lunch, I was hungry again by 5, so I ate a small meal and made sure to stop munching before 6 hit. If my last meal could be as early 2 pm that would be great.

How was your first day of IF?
18 Oct 17 by member: mamamc7
Mamamc7 - Thanks for asking! It was going well until 9pm, then started to get hunger pangs, so decided to call it a night lol! I had a light sleep bc I was hungry, but I'm assuming it's just bc it was my first day. I'm gonna give it another try today.

Yes. I do it once or twice a week depending on my schedule. I will eat dinner between 5-7 and not eat anything until dinner the next day. Coffee is ok (I drink it black). Was rough at first, but now is ok.

Well how are you going about the IF method, I eat dinner between 5:30-6pm and then drink a bunch of water go to bed, wake up drink my tea or Sole and then don't eat until the afternoon, usually eat my first meal between noon and 2pm, depending on how long I can last and what I am doing. For example, if I am going grocery shopping I will eat around noon and head to the store, because grocery shopping hungry is always a mistake!! But if I am just home and doing things with my kids I try to stay occupied and hold out longer.

What is the advantage of intermittent fasting? Eating low carb / keto, I have been losing on average 1 lb per week, without going hungry.
