I like to make whole grain brown in a pressure cooker - takes about 15-20 minutes. Also I have discovered there are hundreds of varities of rice with different flavorings, smells and textures. You can find at any Chinese or Indian store

I eat all types of vegetables steamed and stir fried. I eat very little pasta rice potatoes or bread. Also corn is a heavy high calorie starch just like peas. Try eating a variety of veggies cooked and raw. Try new veggies like I did and I am pleasantly surprised that I enjoy veggies that I never had as a child growing up. A Plant based diet is best, No not Vegan just lots of veggies and fruit with fish, chicken or turkey in small portions. Good luck.

Trucker Larry, I'm not on a diet per se of any kind. I lost 54 pounds and then got stuck a few months back. I went back to basics of what I ate when I was losing. Plenty of veggies at all times, rice, yes noodles also, beans and fruit; very little meat and no dairy; almond milk and plenty of water! It worked for me and I'm sure it will again.
