Yeah. Happens. Keto on. If it continues, experiment with cutting out a food type for a week.

Can I also suggest keto sticks. They are used by diabetics to monitor blood sugar and when used on a diet can tell you in the morning how much to eat during the day. It may give you an extra boost in what to eat and when.

Obviously something is adjusting in your body after the fast...I, too, wonder about fluid retention. I would suggest being sure to stay on your strict keto WOE and I bet that you will experience a swoosh once your body restabilizes. I am sure that this is messing with your head....for motivation, check out our Jenibeann.... I' m rootin' for you.

The first thing I did was check your log to see if you did a new exercise and I saw the bike. So if you tried that out a lot recently you could have just built up some good inflammation and therefore retained some water. Temporarily.

What sort of diet are you following? I checked your food journal, and for the most part, it looks low carb. But then you have a carb load day, with the worst of junk food, Arby's +curly fries. Not surprising that your weight jumps up after a couple of days. Those missteps after being on strict keto add a whole bunch of water weight over 3-5 days. Don't fret it. It'll come back off as soon as you go back to keto. I'm expecting a big jump up myself, after having derailed last night with 3 small frozen burritos. It's your body saying, "Dude, it might taste right, but it's crap!" ;)

I can't look at your diet from the FS app. For SURE if you are going from Keto to high carb foods your body will keep hanging on to water weight. It needs water to process glucose for energy. When you eat Keto it releases the water over a few days as it no longer is needed.

mskestrela - that day was a fluke. I was traveling and my wife ordered without checking with me first. I'm back on track now, but it's taking a while to get my body back in ketosis.
