Day 9.... um... oops
I was invited yesterday to be a host for our Asian product managers for dinner. That meant a dinner after work at a BBQ place that went late into the night as we got them all drunk. Ok maybe not drunk.. but well liquored. Because well.. that's what friendly American's do. At least that's what my company does.

So eating was... um... questionable. Exercise was almost non-existant. I did jump on the elliptical for 30 minutes then I basically passed out in my workout clothes watching DareDevil. Yup.. I rocked it!

Today it's back on track. I've decided to start logging here and fitbit. This way you guys can yell and me and tell me I'm either eating too much, not enough, and also point out that any slips don't actually belong in the LCHF diet. Like corn bread.. corn bread at the BBQ place proooooooobably shouldn't be eaten.. while drinking beer... and trying to understand an Asian product manager.

I also decided that today is weigh in day because I like to torture myelf and apparently I have not weighed in for 19 days. So hey... why not? I was maintaining at 195.5.. I blame the cornbread.. and possibly the beer.... maybe.. maybe it was the beer.. it was probably the corn bread.. and pulled pork... and chicken... and beans.. and corn bread.

Now, just be mindful because you're working out so hard & increasing intensity daily (despite a cheat meal here or there), you're gonna want to leave room for weight gain in muscle & the water your body holds onto in order to repair those muscles. It feels like twice the amount for women & we don't even gain as much muscle as men! LOL After almost 90 days of working out 4-5 days a week, the old saying of "muscle weighs more than fat" never rang as true as it does for me now. And, I'm just beginning to see the losses on the scale, even though my clothes were feeling lose weeks ago. Don't let the number on that scale derail you & don't forget to leave at least 1-2 days in there for recovery time. I find my body releases the most water on those recovery days. :-)

I log my food here and use the FitMess website to have my expended calories data automatically transferred here from my FitBit account. It's very helpful!

Side dishes can be fatal to LCHF, a concept I've had copious amounts of trouble trying to explain to my wife.

Beer, the dieters worst friend! It shows up at my house every Friday night while grilling. My dad used to say "we'll eat after one more". Well, we had many "one mores" before we ate. One of the many reasons I have weight problems. As long as you had fun, that's all that matters. The rest will fall into place.

I just went and read what you wrote in your blog about relationships and it was beautiful. It really made me think about my marriage and how much I want it to stay strong. The words are true and really need to be remembered whether you've been married one year or fifty years. Hang in there Dairy. It not to late.

Mmmmm cornbread. Love cornbread. If course I love cornbread with butter. Love butter.

Wasn't cornbread invented so you could hold butter in your hand?

I make some legitimate cornbread, but don't eat it, it's too damn dry for my tastes!
