I hope your appt goes well. I'm sorry though, I had to laugh. I'm 53 but still get the giggles about farts and fart jokes. Just the way I'm made, I guess 😂 Sometimes the honesty of logging brings you back to where you should be foodwise. Sometimes planning ahead and logging in advance helps (that's good for me as I'm lazy about changing things). Sometimes the rice crispie cakes win. Take care and all the best with your plans

I just made the switch from using My Fitness Pal, too, even though I joined FatSecret a couple of years ago. Thank God we had beef cows when I was growing up. I know dairy farmers work ALL the time. It's easier to find someone to watch and feed cows than to find someone to also milk cows while you take time off. The lack of time really impacts your eating habits. Simplicity will trump nutrition when you lack time. I hope your doctor is not a jerk. And afternoon appointments suck. Good luck!

Logging is great - but needn't be so because of shaming. I find logging works somewhat as a deterrent to unnecessary eating because I'll forego having some food because I don't want to have to open the program and log it. How lazy is that? Good luck with your appointment.

Your humor is wonderful, but it won't keep you alive. I had to make that same realization, (I absolutely LOVE rice crispy treats, and Cheetos, and Hershey Kisses, ....), anyway, I had to choose that which does not destroy my health. It isn't very funny, but it can be pretty good, if you try hard at finding ways to make it good. There are many great recipes here, and many great people. I hope you find some of both. I will not say Good Luck, because it has to be Good Choices. May you make good decisions and make yourself proud.

setting up your food journal is a challenge...but after you add what you eat on a regular basis...its just a matter of cllickin on the food an putting it in the menu...i do mine a day ahead an that way its there to look at ..well mine is usually the same day in an day out..as ive tweaked away from alll the unhealthy sugar snacks that you mentioned above...less sugar..less temptations...

I guess if you're going to eat rice crispie treats it is only appropriate to follow them with a giant bag of kale to get the full effect of "Snap, Crackle, Pop"

Well yes I grinned and so identified with this. Lo. Hope tne doctors appt went well. Recommit and journalize I know when I quit journalizing is when I gain big time. I dont look at it as shaming more to keep me accountable.

Joined for the same reason - journaling my food for myself wasn't enough. I also have young kids - that makes it so much harder!! Best of luck to you!

I like your honesty! I definitely eat things that I'm too scared to share sometimes. I recognizing it is a great first step.
