I have struggled with weight the last few years after a serious illnes I am Atkins 1992 version and it is working for me. I did try Atkins NANY I just can't eat all that food. I am now totally gluten intolerant sugars are not easily digested. So I chose the low carb way of lifestyle... I do belong to Atkins and a few other sites for low carbing. I have lost weight very slowly, I understand this isn't going to be a quick fix I have set a goal for myself of a pound a week. I recently joined a gym and workout 5-6 days a week. This sums up my dietary .
I believe there is so much to people than the food they put into their bodis, I am honest, caring. I love crafts of all types but I am a hand quilter. I love gardening. I have a wonderful relationship with a man that I believe was tailor made for me. I have 4 adult children and 13 grandchildren.

I love this site for the food diary and the challenges, the forums also a great way to find support for this journey.

HI welcome to the site.. I think both gentlemen have it pretty correct. I have stuff public and I have a long way to go. I figured I would make it public since we all are here for pretty much the reasons.

Log and track our food intake
Learn how to eat healthy
Log our activities.
We also learn as we go to give or get support as we go...

I have to agree...with this post. Doesn't matter which diet you choose to do it is done by using more calories than you take in. 7 pounds is water weight not sure how with all sodium you're consuming. I personally don't see how you can eat like you do and loose anything. Denny's texas roadhouse... Alfredo???
If you are on the road a lot there are ways to eat healthy and eat out with friends. Try some healthy salads.
You do have the right idea on not eating late at night.. Are you also drinking enough water. I know for me if I don't et 5 liters in daily I am not loosing weight the next day. Today will be even more due to what I thought was low sodium wasn't so I am over my sodium limit for the day..

What would you tell your 16 year old self?
Wonderful question. I would tell myself to love thyself more, not care what others think.. I would try to convince thyself to be kinder to me...I would also tell thyself what a great job they had done so far... I would also tell thyself to eat no processed foods, get away from sugars,Keeping staying active and fit. And one day Menopause is going to bite you in the butt be prepared for it.

You will have to take a ferry to get to Juneau.There is no road.. And actually Ketchikan is the I think the farthest south. You would have to take a ferry out of Skagway or Haines if it was me I would go out of Skagway and come back into Haines. It can be tough to find space for cars so reserve it asap during this time of year. Have fun if you get to Anchorage and need directions give a shout. We alaskan kind of pride ourselves in sharing this beautiful state.

That was basically my point.. Before I started LC I didn't care if it was processed or not. Now I care. When it is offered to me now I have no problems saying NO THANK YOU politely. Since, I get a literal vision of some factory making the crap and adding the chemicals... Sorry if I wasn't clear enough...
