I have struggled with weight the last few years after a serious illnes I doing a mix of Keto and Atkins 1992 version and it is working for me. I did try Atkins NANY I just can't eat all that food. I am now totally gluten intolerant sugars are not easily digested. So I chose the low carb way of lifestyle... I do belong to Atkins and a few other sites for low carbing. I have lost weight very slowly, I understand this isn't going to be a quick fix I have set a goal for myself of a pound a week. I recently joined a gym and workout 5-6 days a week. This sums up my dietary .
I believe there is so much to people than the food they put into their body, I am honest, caring. I love crafts of all types but I am a hand quilter. I love gardening. I have a wonderful relationship with a man that I believe was tailor made for me. I have 4 adult children and 13 grandchildren.

I love this site for the food diary and the challenges, the forums also a great way to find support for this journey.

Welcome to the site.. I have to agree this site is a Godsend to me the wonderful support and sometimes wonderful critiques I get have helped me through this journey. I have to say you have been given a lot of great advice. Since I have yo-yo on several so called diets in the last 3 years.. A diet won't really make a difference in the long run..
You have to decide this is going to be a life change and stick with it. I do HFLC and have done it since September dedicated and I have totally cut out glutens, and processed sugars..There is no going back for me.. I started last March at 223.. I now am 157.8... I work out regularly this isn't a diet this is a life style change... Only you can decided when enough is enough... Then you will successfully loose the weight, keep it off and get healthy. I do that with Almonds also weighing out exactly an ounce for those days I wake up and want the kitchen cabinets fridge and the freezer not even caring what is in them just wanting them.. You are right it helps...

What is your UGW?
Mine is 105-110. I am wanting to see 140 before June my Birthday.Then slowly start moving up the carb ladder... I started last year in January at 223...

Since I've lost weight, I.............
Love this thought and yes sometimes we need to do these things.. I will have a go.
Since I have began this weight loss journey
I have lost 49 pounds.
I have a empty closet
I eat more and still loss
I joined a gym and love exercise..
I can blow all my leaves on my one acre property and not hurt afterwards.
Best of all I now longer wear my arm braces to sleep anymore...
Now 50 more pounds to go....
