New MrsRando's Journal, 18 November 2011

Yesterday was a HORRIBLE eating day. I haven't eaten an order of fries in a very long time but I did yesterday. It was just one of those days where everything goes wrong and I slipped. I will not beat myself up about this though. I will recognize that yesterdays food choices are only allowed sporadically and cannot even be a regular monthly thing. But sometimes life gets in the way of eating healty. Today is a new day.

I am NOT saying you should do this...but someone told me a long time ago, that if you have a weakness for something you should eat it, and eat it and eat it ... until it makes you sick. And then you won't want it anymore. So I ate 6 SuperSize McD's Fries in a row! It literally did make me sick - and I have never eaten them since. (5+ years ago!) Learning to deal with our stress in life WITHOUT food - that will set you free from this inner drive to comfort w/ food when you are stressed out. Look for better substitues! Much Love.

I'm curious how you liked the fries? I haven't really eaten fries in ages, but on occasion I will steal one from a friend's plate, and every time I do this I realize that they're greasy and gross. How do you feel about them? How did you feel afterwards, both mentally and physically?

I love McD's fries...so I avoid them like the plague, but I have recently started frying some sweet potato slices on occasion. I really like them, and I only make a 3 oz serving at at time, so can't overindulge. Have a great weekend!

I love fries. I have them occasionally, making sure I order a small. I just try to make them fit into my daily caloric goal. I REALLY feel that you have to eat what you like, and trat things as treats. If not, you may be miserable and say "eff it" to the whole thing. Look, you have lost a good amount of weight, and this isn't going to kill your entire loss! Something that helps me is knowing ahead of time that I am going to splurge a little. Thats why I have "cheat days" here and there. Im not saying eat a ton of bad stuff all at once, or all day long, just cut loose a wee bit. Keep up the good work, you will be okay!

Fries once in a great while is no big deal in my book. ( but then I eat like a total pig one day a week and still loose weight.) The problem is if you eat them every day OR if eating them triggers a crazy carb addiction that sends you spiraling out of control into constant face stuffing of junk. (Or something like that.) I thinkyou have been doing a great job with you diet and if you treat your self with fries once in awhile, here's to you!
