I've made a major mistake. Please learn from this. I'm sure all of you know better. I have always had a problem with completing paper work. 2 years ago when we had to move we lost over 90% of our belongings. Even our vital documents were destroyed. It's been a nightmare trying to replace them. There is always just that one document missing they say. One step at a time. We have 2 weeks or less to submit all of them. I will have to send my in driver's license again. Can't even find my 2nd license. The biggest mistake of all is that I didn't open any accounts for my kids any where. Everything they did was done thru my name. Being underage, I thought it was the right thing. Before you laugh or think how stupid I am, please remember that I have never had help raising my kids. All I knew was to work so I could feed them. God, I wish someone had told me these things. Birth Certificates just aren't enough for obtaining IDs. Now we have to get new Social Security cards. Can't get just a photo ID without them. So any of you single mothers out there, please do what you can to have enough documents, like even bank accounts for the kids. I never had enough money to even think about opening an account for them. I did at one time, but we couldn't add to it and the state took them. And I thought we were doing great on our own. My first baby step I took was finding the proper forms to submit for the social security cards and have new birth certificates. Thankfully I have tomorrow off so I can take the next baby step. I will trust the Universe will let this all unfold with the right timing.

breathe sugar! one step at a time is all you can take, believe me. Stop and breathe and look back on all that you have accomplished and taken care of. Rejoice in that and in your kids. We can only do so much at one time, so you are already doing it! Thanks for posting and reminding us how to make sure we get these things done.

My son lost his passport and couldn't use his birth certificate to get a new one. Had to get a new birth certificate. Then we decided to get a passport to be told our "certificate of birth" wasn't legal anymore. We had to "purchase" an actual birth certificate which showed our parents names and dates of birth. One step as a time. You know what you're doing. It will come together. Hugs
