Oh no...specialty cupcakes on the desk of the guy behind me..it's his birthday. Some of the flavors are Samoa, Vanilla Sugar Cookie, Chocolate Boom, Peanut Butter Cup, and Coconut Cream Pie. I will need all the willpower I can get, LOL!

Hopefully, my coworkers will eat them all by the time I get back from lunch.

Hang in there! :)) Are they the enormous American size cupcakes?

Yes, they are huge! The frosting alone must be 3 inches high, LOL I'm resisting :)

My motivation to stay away a brand new bikini for our trip to Florida next weekend. I want to look halfway decent in it :)

Yep, you keep thinking about that bikini. What a ridiculous amount of frosting. The frosting alone will spike your blood sugar. You got this!

If I REALLY want one, I take one bite and throw the rest away....sometimes it works and sometimes you'll find me digging in the garbage can...HA HA! Good luck!

@Lulani.......that's wasteful. Just don't take one if most of it is going into the trash. People waste so much food and I find that a shame. The person who brought the food would be upset to see his/her food in the trash. If you can' t eat it don't take it.

I feel a lot like you Engeland when it comes to wasting food, but thinking it through a little further I realized that whether I ate the whole thing or threw some (or all) of it away, it is indeed "waste." Just one sort or another. TMI

I find that sometimes others appreciate bite size pieces as an option. Cut one up; there are always others who really don't want to eat the calories, and will be relieved to have a taste-only option.

That's a good idea. I just passed on it since I'm trying to cut processed sugar from my diet. He just took them all home, thank goodness!

Right, sooner or later, people get the message that work mates don't want to eat junk, even if it is celebratory.

I think there were 3 left from the dozen. One girl said they were the best cupcakes she'd ever had. I hope I don't have any more temptation over the weekend

The culture at my work is that every time there's a birthday, there's a cake. I've been so clear about my WOE that when my birthday came around, there was no cake! LOL People are still confused about it though, and get a little freaked out when I slather mayo on a bunless double cheeseburger with bacon.

Good job overcoming Veggie! There will be hundreds of other cupcake opportunities in the future.

Msk wouldn't that look confusing? I would be too if I were them and didn't understand keto...

The culture at my work revolves around food, especially sweets. One of the reasons I'm trying to lose now is because of 2 solid weeks of 'treat days' at the office as soon as Thanksgiving passes. I don't eat a lot, but it does add up.

@Trackin....you got a point. @VJ.....Indeed it does add up.
