A VERY HAPPY, July to our FatSecret community. Today, I'm off of discussing about diet, but wish to advocate for LOVE, and non-discrimination. When I was teaching, especially at the end of my career, I made a point for looking out, ESPECIALLY for my Afro-American students, and actually tried to do as much as I could for Hispanic students, or just students in need of HELP! In my teaching, I saw a lot of things, that concerned me. Minority families, where the parents worked so many hours, they had trouble keeping track of their kids. I read a story today, that BOTHERED me. Why do SO many people spew such HATRED? This is NOT acceptable. There are certain states in OUR country, where it seems this is more acceptable. People, we are GOD'S CHILDREN (and I don't even go to church), AND WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS. A STORY OF HATRED IN OKLAHOMA!Funny, I picked up the tab, for our fairly, expensive tab for dinner, last night, and my wife told her millionaire brother, to leave the tip. When I saw how paltry it was, I left the 20%, and often leave more. I feel it makes up for others. Remember, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU! STEAK OSCAR!

Interesting, I just started reading these other links on this, of comments where tips should be. SICK what people say to others, after they aren't facing them. I think FB and social media are prime situations for this.

Thank you for all you do for minorities it's ridiculous that today we have politicians that are using the ignorance of the masses to ensure power and success. The reality is that America will ONLY succeed once those barriers are broken. Blessings!!!!!

When I read it, I thought it said "Grey is wrong" and thought they didn't like having a "senior" waiter! Too bad they couldn't have caught the customer -- I'd love to ask them to clarify what they had against old people!!!

Pandasmom, interesting, on one of the links, it says they caught a customer, that put "nigga" as a comment, and caught him, and made him apologize. Right ON! The dumb a-s couldn't spell, he put GEY, actually.

He gets an "F" for penmanship. Why must people perpetuate this garbage? Whether it was gray, grey or gay, etc. it was unnecessary. Ridiculous.
