Found out I’m leading cycling challenge at my work after a company-wide email was sent out about it! Pretty pumped about that. It also helps people understand my increasingly awful glove and sleeve tan-lines. Gotta work on that, lol

Gearing up for a busy weekend. Travelling to visit my sister after work today and then leaving to come back home early Sunday to squeeze in a bike ride before going to visit friends in another town for a party on a lake. Then, going to a festival and then hiking with my best friend on Monday. Going to stay smart with food and drink choices, and bring healthy stuff with me so I can stick to the plan.

I avoid a farmers/cyclists tan by wearing long tights and sleeves all year. Everyone thinks I'm crazy in the heat but I sleep like a baby without a sunburn that so many of my fellow cyclists get.

That's so smart Jparlett. I really need to get some UV sleeves. I try to stay on top of sunscreen, but it doesn't always work.

Fantastic fun planned - yes, planning is key. I will bring my breakfast/lunch stuff, a couple healthy snacks, and protein powder for my night shake. If I stick to grilled meats poultry and fish with some side veggies, I should be OK...and limit my wine LOL!
