Had a co worker/friend come over Tuesday to work here (we both work work from home and she came over) and she brought donuts. Welp to make a long story short, my whole day was shot to hell.. 3 donuts later and a bunch of other crap I was feeling sick, so sick I called my mom LOL . And my work schedule has been changed to 8-5 instead of 930-630 so there goes my am workouts.. or not. Im struggling to get back on track diet wise, find my gym mojo and be the pillar of strength I was/can be..I have my work cut out for me..BUT, excuses are for the weak. Pulled out the Atkins "bible". did my shopping and only bought healthy food. Gearing up to order some supplements and gonna spend the rest of the week trying out my new gym schedule. Id love to wake up, cardio, work, lift after work then dinner by 7pm and bed by 10-11 and thats what Im aiming for. Wish me luck buddies..

I watched an episode of Doughnut Showdown on Food Network the other day and it got me to craving some of those old fashioned sour cream cake doughnuts. It's not easy staying on plan! The pain is real, the struggle ongoing.

Thanks HCB, I was just thinking the same thing.. even if i cant actively loose like in the beginning I can still maintain. Im finally at a point in my life where I like how I look. I have curves not waves or blobs of fat. And sure. I have some "problem" areas but hey whose perfect right ? " dont stop believing " (journey song) bwahahahahaha ! go me !

Oh the struggle! I was done when the waiter said, "I have a great apricot craft beer..." Get back on the horse and conquer!

Last Saturday, my kid had a band workshop and I had volunteered to help with set up at some ungodly hour of the morning. As I was trying to wake him up before dawn, I told him that if he was ready if 5 minutes, we could get doughnuts, otherwise we would not have time. Well, he was at the front door with 2 minutes to spare! We ordered up a dozen doughnuts from the local shop and come home and ate a couple. Powered by sugar, we headed for the workshop and I moved chairs and music stands for an hour. I came home and enjoyed another with my daughter, then, feeling guilty (and a little ill!), I took the dog for a long walk. It did little to offset the enormous amount of calories or the unhealthy, icky feeling I had. Why is it that doughnuts still sound good?

Weirdly, and much to my surprise, every time I have had a donut (and these were the best in town) I have been disappointed in them. I think I can actually give them up. So I just want you all to know, it CAN happen.
