Disease and Death

I was shocked last night while reading. It's funny how you know the facts, but you don't see the obvious conclusion. I realized last night that the vast majority of deaths are from non-communicable diseases, and most deaths are actually self-inflicted. Heart disease, COPD (90% is from smoking), strokes - most are tied directly to bad choices. Are you worried about the possibility of catching something while you're stuffing that eclair in your mouth? Don't sweat it. The communicable disease is of little concern. Major contributing factors are diabetes, obesity, smoking, and alcohol and drug abuse.

And all that non-communicable disease and the "healthcare" purchases it motivates did not exist 75 years ago...

I agreed with the factors you point out. But I have been reading wheat belly and its truly an eye opener about grains/wheat. I now have been avoiding all wheat products, even when I want to treat myself with a cookie I make it paleo friendly. It is just not worth even cheating with. I notice now I dont get achy knees and headaches anymore

I think it's important to look after ourselves for our kids and grandkids. I also would prefer to die quickly after a long, healthy life.
