I'm such a mess, I eat too much, smoke too much, and sit too much. I'm pretty disgusted with my bad habits right now. But change is so hard. BUT, hot weather is here and I'm going to be miserable wearing this hot fat suit and showing so much skin. I just have to DO SOMETHING. Cutting 500 calories per day is a start, consistantly exercising in the mornings, cutting out (or down on) margaritas and junk food, those are the easist ways to start. I promise I'll try.
193.0 lb Lost so far: 30.4 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.1 lb a week

It's good to have a plan. Might I suggest measuring and logging EVERYTHING you eat? That was a huge first step for me. I was shocked at how much of a difference there was in how much I ate and how much I THOUGHT I ate. Good Luck!

Good plan, use the "fed up" with how things are for motivation to carry you through executing your plan. We all are, for some maybe it's used to be, a mess. That's why we're here. You can do this.

Very good to have a plan, ditto Rckc's suggestion to log everything..keeps me honest and in a friendly competition with myself to stick with it :)

I have found that cursing and flipping the bird to snacks and desserts works well. Make sure no kids around.

I feel you! I finally kicked the smoking and drinking, but now I eat, then eat some more. You can do it, I know you can!

Why not try one at a time? All at once is cumbersome and difficult. Start with one bad habit and then add another, and another. Make it easy on yourself. It won't take long for the successes to start becoming inspiration and motivation.
