Hello from Iowa. Am not logging food this week while traveling because I'm just too lazy to work and log and blow my nose all at the same time. I definitely went off the rails on Sunday night. My client/friend's husband just started work as a blackjack dealer at the local casino, and we ate dinner at their buffet. For my entre part of the meal, I stuck with proteins -- some fish, some sausage, and boo hiss, a small piece of fried chicken. But then I sampled a bunch of the incredible desserts. I was careful not to eat anything like mousse or with whipped cream, but still, I knew I was in for trouble. Sure enough, last night, the usual 24-hour-after-you-screw-up reaction kicked in, but all in all, it wasn't quite so bad as it could have been, and I did get a good night's sleep. Yesterday I pretty much stuck to my plan, and today it looks like I'll be OK as well. I'm determined not to weigh in until next Tuesday when I will have been home for 5 days, and by that time I would imagine that any temporary weight gain will be gone. I don't think there's a change of seeing that coveted 159 by May 1, but if I stick to the plan for the rest of April, I can certainly make 160.5 by May 1. We'll see. Hope everyone is doing well.
