I am at a loss for words right now....my mind is blank. I am happy with my weight loss....first time in my life i feel in control of my weight...i want to tell the world but most will not listen.....my wife included.....I can understand health issues but all the phobia and imaginary problems stand in the way....so many excuses of why. it must be a complicated world out there...maybe too much noise to hear the words. I always tell my wife that advice not ask for is advice not wanted...maybe i should take my own advice. this is just me rambling on so don't take offense. nothing constructive to talk about today. tomorrow another day...chow

Someone told me a long time ago that you can't learn anything until you're ready to learn. It takes a lot of patience and a keen sense of awareness to know when somebody is at that place in their life when they are ready to listen. It's a heavy burden to bear when you have some truth to share and the world doesn't seem to care, even though it's the very thing they need to hear. (Hmm, sounds like a song ...). Anyway, for me, when I've hit that mountain top of a success in my life, I've stopped looking around for others because most of the time, they are just not there. Instead, I look for the next mountain to climb.

On another note, not to get religious, but there's a parable about a farmer in the bible. The story goes that the farmer had a whole bunch of seed to plant. Some seeds fell on the path, some in the thorns, some on the rocks, and some fell on good soil. The seeds on the path were quickly eaten up by the birds. The seeds in the thorns and rocks grew a little, but were choked out or burnt by the sun. But the seeds that fell on the good soil grew, and produced 30, 60, or 100x in harvest. The seed is the truth/your success you want to share, and it doesn't always land in places where it will thrive. What I like about the story most is that the farmer wasn't stingy with the seed. He was generous and almost careless, spreading it around where ever he went. That's where I want to be. I heart so big and full of goodness that it just overflows to the point that I don't really care where it lands, because I know, eventually, it will produce fruit somewhere, someday. Take heart, my friend, be hopeful, live generously, and take on that next mountain!

RkTkFx, I too want to have a heart so big and full of goodness that it just overflows to the point that I don't really care where it lands! Thanks for your take on the parable. Never looked at it that way!

I understand exactly how you feel, Fred. I, too, catch myself screaming from the mountain tops down to a land that doesn't understand. Most just give me that "shut the hell up, you're not a doctor" look, but there have been a few that i've helped see the light, and that's worth every nasty look i've recieved. It's just that I look around & see so many sick people, and I want them to heal themselves and feel as good as I do. @RkTkFx... LOVE IT! THANKS FOR SHARING!

You've find something that works, that in itself is worthy of celebration, and there's tons of followup information just waiting to be assimilated, constructive? Indeed, make it so, brother, you've got the capacity to effect positive change, go for it!

Fred4win, from one 72-year old to another, your good health and level of activity is more of a tell-it-to-the-world message than you may be giving yourself credit for. You are a living example of what being an active senior is and people DO notice. Pat yourself on the back for the good you are doing!!

@RkTkFx, thanks for the awesome description of the Parable of the Sower! @ Fred, I think your heart is already completely full! Might I suggest the best way for your wife's ears to be opened to this truth is to pray for her. God is all powerful and I'm sure he is using you to be the example for her. Unsolisitated advice never goes down well...instead start telling her how much you love her...stick to your diet and pray for her morning, noon and night and anytime between when you just think of her...God can open her ears and heart to your positive message :D

hey guys after reading all of these comments who can stay depressed...great parables...never heard it exactly that way.....It has lifted my spirits and i am ready to rock and roll....went to a party last night and there was so much beautiful food....but the people said that i must have the will power of Hercules....and looked so healthy.....when you are losing 1/2 lbs each day why do i want to jeopardize the daily loss. I still eat plenty and walked away full....how did that happen? cause i know what not to eat....(no your enemy)less than 5 carbs all day yesterday...also at the party so many guess made comments on how good i look now....my wife started to take notice...still claiming this is to severe for her.....I am sure she will come around soon. With all that said.... an high spirits, it is time for me to to get back on this horse and ride again.
