Good morning buddies! I survived the weekend :) And fingers crossed I might have won a fitbit challenge for the first time ever lol. 40,532 steps total for Saturday and Sunday.

Clinicals went very smoothly. My patient was very kind and it was easy to enjoy working with her. My instructor watched my dressing changes and head to toe assessment rather than guiding me through them and at the end she told me "good job!", which doesn't come easily from an instructor like her lol. Feeling accomplished this Monday morning. Still a lot to learn, but some things you have to learn by doing so I am open to all of the new experiences.

Saturday evening we went to the fair. My sister had art work displayed in one of the expo buildings so It was neat to be able to go see it. My kiddos rode some rides, and my favorite part... all of the animal barns lol. We did have some fair food. My mom bought one elephant ear, one funnel cake and an order of ribbon fries. Those three items were shared between 6 people so I didn't have too much of any. I burned an insane amount of calories that day so it should still be a nice deficit. Sunday I skipped breakfast before clinical and bought a chicken salad sandwich and an order of 5 jalapeño poppers. I couldn't resist. I had the majority of my days calories at dinner but again still ended up with a good deficit.

My kiddos started back to school today, it was bittersweet. My daughter rides the bus but I drive my son because the elementary school is only a mile up the road. They both did great so it wasn't teary at all but it's always a slap in the face to realize how quickly the time is going. I've been enjoying the silence this morning, and cleaning up this disaster of a house. It's amazing how fast the house can go to shit without mom around. I have to hand it to my husband though, he really does try and the grass got cut so I won't complain.

I don't know if I will get any intentional exercise in today. I deserve a small break. I do have to go to the store at some point though and hitting my 10K step goal shouldn't be a problem.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, have a good day buddies!

Sounds like a great weekend all around! Kids grow up so fast. I was just thinking the other day that in a couple of years my daughter will be almost able to drive herself to school. Where does the time go? Enjoy a "rest" day today, you deserve it. :)

You're doing great all round! Well done on the steps! It's good that there were no tears about going back to school, you might have to be worried if there were.
