I have been feeling kind of apathetic about these last few pounds for the past week or so. I have not been doing too badly, but I have also not been trying overly hard either. I have been stalled out and it has been sapping my enthusiasm for this, making me think perhaps this is good enough, maybe this is the weight that my body wants to stay. Not that I have given up, but I just have not been pushing myself, just going through the motions.

Then, today I was at Costco and they had these cute legging-type pants and I thought I would treat myself. Rather than reaching for the large, as I normally would have, I held up the mediums and they looked like they might fit. When I got home, I tried them on and, not only did they fit, but they looked fantastic! I am MEDIUM-SIZED! :)

Looking at myself in the mirror in those pants, I made a promise to myself that I would see this through to my goal and continue to take good care of my health.

On a side note, my oven has started beeping. It has an error message that tells me that it is having problems with the control panel, but that is not sufficient. It must keep beeping incessantly! Aargh! I am going to the gym to get away from it. :)

Yay to the smaller size! :-) Sure makes it worth all the hard work, heh? As to that oven, it needs to stop it!

I did find the breaker to turn off the beeping. I don't want the dog to be psychotic when I get back home. :)

Wow -- as I was reading your journal, I totally saw that heading in another (perfectly acceptable) direction . . . that being, you tried on the (M) leggings, they looked great and that validated your feeling that this weight is just fine, thank you very much! But really impressed that it actually had the opposite effect . . . I have no doubt you will reach your goal, but the most important piece is to "continue to take good care of your health." Way to go!!

WOOT!! WOOT!! WTG, it's often funny the things that spur you on to your goal. Love it that you also went to the gym to get away from the beeping. Seriously hope your oven is OK. Good for you in a medium!
