Went out to dinner with the family again. It was a buffet and I thought "oh boy I'm in trouble tonight". But surprisingly I think I did well. I ate small portions of seafood and about a cup of rice and some vegetables. When I felt full, I stopped eating. Everybody finished up with different plates of cakes, cheesecake etc. But with all the water I had with my meal, I was still full. So I felt pretty good in regards to willpower. But I'm not going to lie, when the hubby said he didn't want his cannoli I wanted to snatch it off his plate! LOL #willpower

You're doing really well! Great that you felt full and stopped eating! I went to a buffet meal a couple of weeks ago and thought uh-oh, how am I going to handle all this temptation? But actually found it easier than being served, because I could pick things that I knew wouldn't hurt, and choose the quantity of each food. So, like you, could eat till full without overindulging 😀 Actually looking forward to going to that place again!

Thanks guys! It was a little awkward just sitting there done with everyone still going back and forth and still eating especially when they brought back a few kinds of desserts to the table, but I just kept drinking my water to give myself something to do.

Good time for water, a cup of coffee or tea, a few pieces of fruit, most buffets provide some even if they are on the salad bar.

That can be awkward. On vacation, I had had lunch at my in-laws' house and then we were heading across town when my BIL announced we would be stopping at Burger King for lunch. I wasn't hungry and there was no veggies or fruits I could just nibble on, so I sat and drank my glass of water while everyone else had their burgers and fries and sodas. It was a very weird feeling. Good for you not to feel pressured to keep eating when you were done. :)
