Forewarning: this is long :) I'm back. House/pet-sitting is done and I'm back home. My boy is getting ready to move to Colorado in 2 days so we're still doing laundry and packing him up. I had gained 5 over the 3 weeks (my birthday and party was lumped in there so I'm not really shocked) and back down 2 since Monday. Looking for a new-to-me dryer since my heating element went kapooey the other day (with sheets in it, yay) and have a contact with someone for a replacement for $130 about 10 miles away. Should be able to go see it today and see if it works for what I'm looking for. It's kinda been a weird week. Last Friday had an issue with the car and almost got stuck out on International Drive (about 35 minutes from my house). I was able to get a jump and get home. Saturday had it looked at and not only was the battery toast, the alternator was and had killed it. $466 and 4 hours later, my car is feeling better and I'm repeating "this is what emergency funds are for." Also found out BF was in a car accident same evening (everyone is ok but other driver didn't have insurance or her drivers license with her?!?). Monday the dryer died. I'm taking it all pretty "in stride" since I do have the money for it, it's just an inconvenience. I got an extra year out of it (got it from my mom for free when I moved into the house last year).
I need to get groceries for me and the boys today for the week and what they need for traveling. I really want to cut my grass but it's been raining so maybe today I can get to it. Seems like there's a lot I want to get done today but timing is going to be interesting. Made a date with my son for dinner and a haircut for tonight as well.
Life is good and only gets better. My people are safe and love me, I'm healthy and have a great job. I have all I need and most of what I want. What else can you ask for? Have a great day, buddies.

Thanks Sugar :) It was really a great birthday. Threw myself a party and BF was in town to meet everyone for the first time. Was a sweet day.
