LOL...Pterath...I was mostly referring to things that TEMPT US...Although some folks, like my daughter and Nicolaix have been able to "train their children", some battles are just NOT worth fighting...LOL...AND an occasional treat is not the "end of the world" for children & teenagers...BUT even though my children are "grown and gone"...I am finding...if is something that "DERAILS" me, I am sooo mch better off, to NOT even have it "on premises"...Everyone has to do what works for THEIR household.

I find that" out of sight is out of mind"! Keep a place for every ones treats ( I've have 75% dark chocolate) I don't keep on the kitchen table to wave at me every time I walk in the kitchen....

I've done that purge. If I am going to have something, I portion out exactly how much I want to have and put it away before eating. That way, I'd have to consciously get up and seek out more. My 10 year old is on board with eating healthy, which makes things easier. She reads food labels now, came up to me the other day with a juice box and said, "Mom! Look how many sugars this has!"

Yes, I agree AB...and DA, That is soooo great...thanks for sharing...It's interesting that this is the second time (or maybe third) time I have posted saying "let's throw away "old" attitudes"...and folks seem to "shy away" from talking much about that...maybe most of the "commenters" have already "won" that battle....OR MAYBE it is such a PROCESS, few of us are willing to "claim" much success...."YET"...at any rate...trust we ALL we be able to take "something" from this post...GOD bless you ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!! (AND keep CLIMBING!!!!!)

Good ideas! I hadn't really thought about throwing away things people have said about weight/appearance but it's true that can weigh us down just as much!
