I need to get up and move. I should not have sat down. It was raining on my way home from work so everything outside is soaked. The sun is coming out now and the air smells fresh wafting through my open windows and it's pleasant sitting here, even if my house is still in shambles. I sat down for a minute and now I just want to not move.

I really need to work on my kitchen pantry and get fruits and veggies cut up and in the dehydrator as my bird is nearly out of food. I sit on my butt all day, I certainly do not need to do it at home!!

Decided I need to make a goal to get motivated; my goal is 8000 steps for today I'm a bit over 5000, so need to get this butt up and moving!!

Would give anything for some rain. They've been threatening for days now and each day it hotter and hotter. Actually turned on the A/C today. In the winter, it's brutally windy and cold; in the summer, not a lick of wind blows unless we're expecting a storm then have to keep the windows closed.

I almost turned the ac on last night to be able to sleep as it was 80 in the house, no breeze so the warm air just lingered in the house. Didn't but didn't sleep that well. It's cooler tonight and with the wind about 15 mph it continues to blow a bit through the house, it's nice. The ac will go on soon enough and stay on until fall. Glen, I did move, setting a goal to keep moving and putting it in writing helped. I'm almost at 8000 steps!! Didn't get the pantry worked on but Gabby (small parrot) has fruit drying in the dehydrator and he had a bunch of snacks while I was cutting up fruit and sweet potatoes. I'll have new bird food finished for him tomorrow. He has enough to get him through the day. Good dinner and a bunch of things at least sorted through and misc tools hauled to the garage.

Kathy btw it's rare that the wind stops here. It's errie when it does. It usually only stops before we are blasted with strong storms. If it stops on a nice day everyone is waiting for something to happen.

Ours usually comes out of the East as do our storms. I always wish that I could can the winter winds and open them when I'd give anything for a fresh breeze. When we close up, that's it until the Fall. Hate it because I love the fresh air. Our neighbor has a constant wind blowing year round and she's a block away.

That's me, When my ac goes on its on until fall. Only time would be a string of cool days and nights, that doesn't usually happen. Weird that you neighbor always has a breeze. Ours is usually out of the west.

The emergency muffin at the Mexican bakery did me in yesterday, 321 calories!!! I run a low normal blood sugar and I could tell it dropped, was dizzy. I have been resisting trying them for a long time they look soo good. I really needed some quick sugar and had nothing with me, so decided it was a good day to try just one.

If that would have been me coming home and not going to class 30 minutes later I would have been snoring in the recliner

I know this is completely off the subject but I just saw the "morel mushroom" in your photo image.....oh my, how I would enjoy one of those today. I grew up in Indiana and spring always afforded us the opportunity to go mushroom hunting and find lots and lots of morels.... I hope this is one that you were able to enjoy. By the way, congrats on being so close to your goal....

I ate the whole muffin, in the parking lot, probably should have eaten half. Felt better and made another stop on the way home. I did rather crash for a bit at home, might be the after affects of getting slammed with sugar then some 85% chocolate from my 2nd stop. I did eat the morel sauteed in butter, the only one I had this year.

Hope by the time you get this your yard will be nice and dry. Rain makes me sleepy too. Just start back slowly and you'll soon be back in the swing of things.

At work watching the pouring rain from the 7th floor. I'm loaned to another slower department for at least the rest of the month, so rather bored. Rain is spinning around the middle of the country at least till next Tuesday. If they are right I'll be working on my kitchen this weekend, will make me happy to get my house back to relatively organized.

The rain quit for awhile it was a nice evening, about to turn the light off, loud thunder, lots of lightening, more rain, and a scared pup. Figured it would start soon, had been watching the radar off and on.
