I'm going to be a little self congratulatory in this post. I was in a foul mood last night when I got home from work. It was a long bad day at work. I had not slept well the previous night (which likely contribute to the bad day at work). I didn't eat much and had only eaten about 900 calories by the time I got home, so I was low on energy. I sat down on the couch and started watching TV and contemplating a McDonald's burger & fries and skipping running (last night was a scheduled run night for me).

Then I decided to dress for the run, grab an apple and go for a walk. I hoped I would find the motivation to at least walk for 20 minutes. At the end of 5 minutes and the apple, I decided a jog was in order. I ended up doing my full workout, had a nice run, cleared my head, came home ate a relatively healthy dinner, went to be and slept like a baby.

I feel great today. I am also excited about the change in how I handled the stress. In the past, TV and junk food was the fall back. Last night I made a good decision. While I don't want anymore rotten days, I am excited about the possibility that I am changing to a better approach.

Y'all have a great day.

Lyfestyle is the only way. my kids hate me for it because of it because when the goodies are gone I am not buying or making more. Okay maybe an occassional treat at the holidays but keeping it to treating myself not binging.

Sometimes just going through the motions could get you to where you want to go. In this instance, you just put one foot in front of the other even though you weren't feeling it, and then your heart followed suit. Good Job!
