CatHerder's Journal, 19 April 2015

Another rainy day here in SE Tennessee. I'm glad I got the entire yard mowed yesterday. Part of the yard still had standing water but I mowed through it even though my shoes got wet. That gave me my 10000 steps for yesterday in about 1 hour and 40 minutes of mowing. I was about that.

After I got the mowing done I kept hearing this hill calling me to run it. It's about 2 miles from our house and starts at the lake, goes over a major road and the ends into another road. Nice wide shoulders on that part of the road so I thought it would be pretty safe to run it. I decided to heed the call and go for it. Going up the hill and down the other side and back was 2 miles. I ran the entire route in a 10:51 pace. It was tough but I felt good afterwards. So I can actually say I climbed that hill on my weight loss journey :)

After all of that exercise I was pretty tired last night. I felt good about all that I accomplished though. I am still debating whether I should sign up for a local 5K run. I guess I still lack faith in myself running with others.
