Annabelle3117's Journal, 09 April 2015

Good morning everyone! It looks like it's going to be one of 'those' days. You know, the kind of day where you finally get the kids to school on time so you go to the store to get your grocery shopping out of the way... then in the middle of your shopping trip your middle schooler calls to tell you she tore her pants and needs new ones asap. *Sigh* Looks like I'll be trying shopping again tomorrow lol. At least I have everything I need to get through today.

ATF are going great. Monday through today has been spot on. Prepping for a weigh in this coming Sunday or Monday. I've been using my new fitbit Charge HR, and I'm loving it. I know a lot of people complain of FS not being very accurate calorie wise, but to be honest I'm not seeing a lot of discrepancies, but of course it depends on what you enter for activity. Yesterday I did a forty minute workout of the elliptical. On FS I logged it as forty minutes on an exercise machine (moderate) and FS gave me like 502cal for that workout, my fit bit showed my calorie burn at 522. Not a big difference. My total calorie burns for the day have been within a couple hundred compared to my fitbit, with Fatsecret actually underestimating my calorie burns. These are my observations so far, I'll keep you posted. (Oh, and I'm sure that my fitbit is pretty accurate because it's giving me similar data to what my bodymedia armband was giving me when I was using that, and the HR is dead on)

So far this week I have gotten in two gym sessions and one kettle bell workout. My thighs and butt were killing me after that go with the kettle bell. I have been using my husbands twenty pound bell for kettle bell swings, and it's kicking my ass.

Things are well with school. Getting back in the swing of class, it's nice to have time away from the kids lol, as terrible as I know that probably sounds.

Well its supposed to warm up today, so I think my dog and I will head out for a nice afternoon walk. Why not?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Sounds like you're doing great! Well, except for the child with the torn pants. I need you here to be my personal trainer and make me exercise. If it were nice out I'd be doing a walk or run today, but alas we have snow. Keep kicking butt! :)

I've been considering a "device". I currently just use an app on my phone, but I may want to switch. Nice job with the workouts! Enjoy the walk.

Fitbits are awesome I find it to be pretty accurate. But no device is perfect. I thinkt he fitbits are great for making you want to move more. I left mine home on accident on the charger =( lol

Interesting results on the calorie burn information. I really want to get the Charge HR but need the XL band and it's not projected to be available until June. It seems to me that Fatsecret estimates my calorie burn too high so I'm really wanting to get a more accurate picture of it, hope the fitbit will do it. Regardless, for me the most important thing is to log food accurately as then I can figure out the balance of intake vrs. output by results over time. Anyway....you're doing great, keep up the good work!

I feel the HR fitbits have a slight more accurate calorie count because it is also tracking your heart rate.
