BuffyBear's Journal, 22 March 2015

It was a gorgeous sunny day yesterday and so checked to see how many summer clothes fit from last year. My tally - 1 pair of old faded capris and 3 t-shirts. Very sad. And no one to blame but myself.

So this afternoon I need to go shopping for a few transition outfits for work to get me by until I can get back into my clothes. I am usually excited to go clothes shopping but today's trip will be pure drudgery.

awww. I am a firm believer in fake it until you make it. Buy a couple outfits that make you feel fabulous NOW. They can be tailored later. frumpy dumpy closes just make you feel even worse and you are too damn pretty to hide under a basket!

I'm dreading going through my summer clothes. It seems to be agony every year. I Hope you find something that makes you feel great when you go shopping!

Yup - saw that Maine got more snow, Nicholaix - we have a few inches coming today in Minneapolis.

I know exactly how you feel. I too have mixed feelings when spring comes because I love the flowers and weather, but I can no longer hide behind my black pants and baggy sweaters that I wore all winter. Just know that we are with you -- and keep on your weight loss journey! Find something bright and cheerful when you go shopping!

Already know the damage. 1 pair of jeans still fit from last year and will wear them out until the seam splits or I wear holes in the knees. I refuse to buy anything. I did the same thing in the past and only bought new when they got too big. Refuse to buy larger sizes.

Nichole & HCB - I too am sorry about your snow. Daffodils are out here in their full glory.

Classic - I know that feeling. Had to buy size 14 slacks. That hurt!!!

The only reason I am not wearing 14 is I am too stubborn lol.

Nicholaix - I bet they look great on you.

Go to discount store or Goodwill. I did most of my shopping on ebay, bought things for under $5 with shipping.

Kathy, I get the bigger size thing. I made it up to size 18 jeans and said NO! no more... Plus size tops and jackets. That was enough..Have given all my too big clothes away, or at least most of them, still have some to go through. They are NOT coming back to my house.!!!

Kohls often has great clearance deals, used to work for them.... 14 is better than 18!!!
