moondove's Journal, 21 May 2011

Yesterday, my grandson graduated from kindergarten. My daughter went all out with a bakery cake and ice cream. I did not have any. But, had a hard time being in the same room. It is still hanging around, but today I have gotten passed the craving for it, or anything sweet. Which leads into the fact that as I have been busy doing housework, yardwork, and garage clean-up. I have been in stuck-mode not knowing what I want to eat today. So... breakfast and lunch have passed, and feeling that if I eat I will loose control and end up gaining weight. Not Good...

So... I have decided to return to Atkins. I feel safe with my eating habits on Atkins. I don't feel hungry, and I don't have craving for sweet things (most of the time anyway).

Today, I lost 1 more of my 5 lbs gained (while on Atkins & WW). 1 more lb to be back at my lowest weight. I hope that I don't stall again. I'm not going to count my calories this time (had tried lowering to 1500 to break a stall, but it didn't work).

Weeeeeeeeeeeee.... Look out Atkins ~ Here I come!

Congrats to your grandson how lovely, such a lovely time in life. I was actually thinking of just going on calorie controlled again and off Atkins, but I think like you carbs are my worst enemy. When I saw your weight coming off again I thought it is working for you. I was scared of the thought of eating carbs again. Just found Breyers Carb Smart Bars, really delicious just like ice cream....I love ice cream and just thought I would try them, have been fancying ice cream for a week, so now I am happy. I do find it is really easy doing Atkins if you go out for dinner, don't have to worry about counting calories. I hope that little of plan will kick you to start losing again...Happy Atkins.....

jsfatome: Thank you for the 'Welcome Back'! After one meal, I am no longer shaky and my headache is gone. Slow weight loss and or stalls are still not my friend though. I know I have to be prepared to deal with them if they happen. As of yesterday, I am off of the cholesterol med that may have been the culprit, and here I am to begin Induction. Tootles!

Yvonne19: I have 2 - 5 yr old grandsons (6 grandkidlings total). One still pending his kindergarten graduation. I just love them w/all my heart! I think Atkins is great. I just don't like going through stalls. I think it was the cholesterol med (which I am now off of). Wishing You & Everyone Many More Happy Healthy Losses! We can do this along with each other's support!!! :)
