What the heck??? Gained 3 lbs last Sunday (last day of Atkins). (Saturday I walked most of day at an amusement park.) Changed to WW on Monday. Doing everything according to WW site. I thought for sure that I had lost. Today, I gained 2 lbs. Ugggghhh... I feel like I may have jumped the gun giving up Atkins too soon. Any help would be appreciated.

Miss all of you and wishing you happy losses!

Cheryl, I cannot do Weight Watchers. I have tried several times and the low fat just doesn't work for me. Actually I have tried every diet under the sun, including the grapefruit, vinegar, Diet Center...you name it about the only thing I haven't tried is HCG and liquid. I have a suggestion....maybe you need lower carb, not quite as strict as Atkins. There are several others that are lower carb, like South Beach. I am using The Primal Blueprint now, and am very happy with how things are going. This week I am feeling lighter and so I am hopeful that the scale will show a loss, but even if it doesn't, I FEEL fantastic. What was the medical reasons that you had to stop Atkins, if it isn't too impertinent of me to ask? As for the weather, well the weathermen are all talking about this "OMEGA BLOCK" we are currently under. There is a low in the east pressing west and a low in the west pressing east and those of us in the middle are being squeezed. Those on the coasts are being subjected to extremely cool temps and lots of rain. The middle part is sunny but unseasonably cool with winds out of the north. NUTSO!!

Oh, do I feel your pain. You must be sooo frustrated. Perhaps your body is just reacting to more carbs, could be water? Yeah, what ctlss above says, I say ditto! I did & didn't do all that too. Although I really have no idea what the Primal Blueprint or Spike is, for me, right now Atkins is really working & I love how I feel & the no cravings part! I almost tried South Beach instead, but opted for Atkins instead because of the free information & support on their website & I really liked the way carbs were re-introduced more. I wish you the best, I know you will do what is right for you.

@ctlss: I will send you a PM about medical reasons. In regards to the weather, I feel lucky to live on the west coast. I just wish that we could check the weather forcast the night before and know for sure what the next day will be! Today, it started out cold and raining. I had to turn on the forced heat. Now we have the bluest skies but...w/huge dark clouds passing which are shadowing my home making the inside dark as night.

@gg-girl: I thought about the carbs (even before I switched from Akins), just thought I had snuck on by w/out an increase in weight. LOL! I just loved how Atkins stuck to my ribs (didn't ever feel hungry). Thanks so much for your support! :)
