Okay a lot happened in a short amount of time. We came home Mother's Day and our large screen was in the driveway - we had been burglarized. All electronics gone...laptops, ipods, nintendo ds's, ps3, surround sound, battery charger, all my jewelry, coach purses, all my daughter's jewelry and her electronics (they did not take the ps2), all of my husband's medication (even his diabetic medication). Our house was tore apart...clothes ripped out of closets, drawers pulled out and dumped in the floor. A shambles. I work from home so I had to take off Monday. Went to my husbands office to work...was there at 5am as I work on east coast time. Wednesday DH had surgery to remove gall bladder and an outpatient procedure turned to an overnight stay for us. They found a stone blocking a duct at the pancreas and had to do a second procedure later that afternoon. Two anesthesias in a day and then there was the possibility that he could develop pancreatitis so we stayed overnight. Finally got home on Thursday at around 2pm (I did not sleep but maybe 2 hours). Needless to say I have not made it to the gym but once this week. My eating has not been the best either. However, I am back to logging today and will weigh tomorrow....forgot to visit TOM is visiting me too.

Hope everyone else has had a better week than me and that your Mother's Day was good.

I understand the devastation. I went through this twice. I was just glad it was "things" and we and our little dog was fine. It did take time to feel safe again though. Wishing you the best:)

Thanks all for the well wishes. We were also glad it was just stuff...glad that our 17 year old daughter was not home and in her room with the ipod in her ears and unable to hear. Was glad that our dogs were unharmed. We have a pitt bull - she is a big baby and not a mean bone. When our daughter's boyfriend came over that same night (and she loves him) she peed on herself twice. Once she caught his scent she was happy to see him, but until she caught his scent I think she thought it was whoever was here because clearly she was frightened. Once she got his scent she went over and lay in his lap. She rolled over and my daughter noticed the welps and abrasions on her underside where someone must have kicked her several times. I was scared to leave the house unattended yesterday when we went to Mass. I mean that is what happened last Sunday. After Mass we drove home just to check and then went to the store. We have a boat in our driveway and I am concerned that when we start going to the lake someone will notice that the boat is gone and expect the house to be empty. I know I cannot live like that and it will get better soon. It is not like there is much here to steal now either. It makes me so furious too.
