Started the Atkins diet on Friday, Jan 2, with a weigh in of 261. Started using fatsecret.com today, Jan 4, with a weigh in of 257.7. My goal is to lose 100 pounds by Jan 1, 2016, then continue using a low carb lifestyle to maintain that weight. I get a lot of exercise at work, as a pizza delivery driver, getting in and out of car on a continuous basis, and climbing apartment stairs, many of the apartments here having 3 floors, but going to add additional exercises at home, and spend even more time playing with my American Bulldog, who loves to wear me out. I love the low carb tortillas - I get the Ole Wellness ones from WalMart - under $3.50/8 and only 5 carbs per tortilla - and they actually taste good! Good luck!

Atkins is a great way to start losing. Help to read his book or go to Atkin web site. Lots of good info. Low carb Tortilla are not for induction.

welcome! oofster is right, it's important to do atkins right or it won't work. read the book and check out the website. lots of good groups here too. be sure to get your 15 net carbs from veggies plus 5 from cream and cheese everyday - no less. keep the "allowed foods" list handy until you get the hang of it. and drink lots and lots of water. tons of support here!!

Definitely do it right. Adkins web site used to have a free intro package that had a handy little carb reference book with it. It's handy. Just don't get into eating all their processed bars etc they stall some people big time.
