Happy Hump Day Everyone.

My internal belief that running is my secret weapon in dropping weight has been reconfirmed ... this morning's scale showed good stuff. while i weigh every day, record on fridays, i won't put too much stock in the number until it stabilizes and stays. either way, i take what i work for ... and if i want more ... i work harder.

i take end of month progress pics - coming up on another one. it is always good to set them all side by side and compare because if you ever feel like you are not making progress, you are. every pound, every workout, every meal. i feel this way at times then i just go back and look at some pics of when i was 190/184 even at 163 ... it's helpful. your mind's eye sometimes still sees your body the old way - we all have to view it the new way. it's tough. love my wife - she has been with me the whole journey, for past 4 years, and she always saw/sees the good stuff. it's great to have a cheerleader on this journey who is full of overwhelming positive energy.

workout today pretty standard - chin/pull ups, cable work, clean and presses, squats, jumps, dips, various db work, T Push ups, sprints, then LISS.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

oh, you bet Hipaaagrammy - the general disposition we are saddled with is one of poor self talk. We all need a positive vibe to shake us up. Gotta keep it positive, and have to remember how hard you are working - and it does not go unrewarded. Have a great day!

It's good to look back and be able to recognize the progress that's been made. And stay on the positive side of things. Our thoughts, thinking process, and what we focus our minds on has such an impact on how we do in our lives. Approach each day with positive thinking and the right attitude, at the end of the day the outcome will be better because we've done better with the things under our control. Nice job on your run and seeing the results confirmed by the scale...now to conquer hump day!

jim, couldn't have said it better myself. it's tough to keep focus, but many voices on this site have been tough on themselves - and it's time to be kind. and rockies, i wish i could run everyday - stuff just drops right off - but the knee, the age, and now the cold ... gonna have to pace myself, so to speak. i never thought i'd miss running, but yeah, i miss running on a daily basis. cheers, fellas!

Having a spouse that's so supportive makes it so much easier. My wife also supports my efforts. Even the little things like hiding the Hostess Snowballs in the garage under the napkins so I couldn't find them (still haven't raided their stash). I would love to start running, but I don't think I'll try it until I lose another 50 lbs or so. My knees aren't in the greatest shape and I don't think they could take the beating with my 300+ frame. I'll stick to walking for now. Have a happy hump day!
