Happy Friday
Boy, I am really paying for going off my meds by accident, still tons of fluid onboard, hands and feet are very sore. Tons of green tea and asparagus at every meal today and of course boat loads of h2o to flush it out. My BP med does have a diuretic in it so that will really help too. Must get back to being mindful to the amount of sodium I am consuming. No more of the high sodium items on a daily basis. I will still try to keep the carbs around 50 NC but need to stay on top of the cholesterol (<=300g) and sodium (<=1300g) for my best health.

Guess I won't do that again, no wonder my doc was so pissed at me the last time I did it. I don't think I will tell her about this episode when I see her in a couple of weeks.
Thanks to all my buddies for the gentle butt-kicking yesterday. It really helps to have such great support from all of you!

Busy weekend ahead, family friend's funeral tomorrow we have to travel to early and be there by 9am so out of the house by 7:30. It will go all day with a reception/luncheon probably won't be home until early evening. Will make a protein shake for breakfast, probably salad and some protein at luncheon (everybody always has a salad prepared right???) It is a big Polish funeral so I would expect all the high fat ethnic items to be present. YIKES!!! That signifies a minefield for me....DANGER-DANGER! Hopefully we will be home by suppertime and can be back in my comfort zone.

Babs, sorry that you are suffering with the edema pain...hopefully it will leave your body soon! Sorry about your friend. Take care of yourself and good luck avoiding the mines.

Four 32 oz bottles of h2o down and more asparagus for dinner. Rings are loser and ankles have shrunk some...... Is it possible to kick one's self in one's ass????? I will have to try that!!!!!

I am glad you have finally gotten some relief from the water retention. Hopefully you won't be so sore tomorrow. It sounds as if you have a long day ahead of you - a day filled with a lot of potential stumbling blocks. The best lessons are those we learn by experience. I am sure you don't want to have to learn this one again! Fortunately I don't have to take BP medication, but I do take some meds that would not be smart to miss taking. I might wake up somewhere I don't want to be!

I understand about being swollen from water retention. It is miserable when you feel like the staypuf marshamallow man. Hopefully the dieratic will start to pull the extra fluid out. Scary Babs! I set my pills by my toothbrush, so I will see them every morning and night. I also set alarms on my phone to remind me to take them. And, to really bust how bad I am, I actually have a log on my phone that I also keep. When I take them, I enter it quick. 6 pills a day and I'm a ditz... its the only thing that keeps me on track. Would that help you maybe?

Man, I missed out and didn't know you were in need of some butt kicking. I am here now...well in place of a swift kick here is a hug and a gentle..."you can do this Babs, I've seen it before and know I can see it again"...with love TOWANDA!!!!!
