Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 07 October 2014

It's my last day of freedom before I rejoin all the crazies in the cube farm. I don't want to go!!! I want to snuggle with babies and continue to avoid bi-polar bosses who lack in that whole ability to socialize with humans thing. I seriously need to start looking for a new line of work. That whole writing smut from the privacy of my own home is looking better and better. I don't think I could write serious smut though.. is there such a thing as funny smut? Can you put a fart scene into a smutty book??? Now I'm tempted to attempt writing just to put a fart scene in a smutty book to see what happens.

Eating is um.. a disaster. I convinced myself for a short time that apple pie was really a breakfast food because it had.. apples.. and um.. bread type crust.. and well it went well with coffee.

Working out?!?!?! OMG! My body has been taken over. I'm not sure it is my body. I think someone took my body and traded it with someone else. I attempted a plank yesterday.. 30 seconds in I was shaking like a bowl full of jello. Then I collapsed.. and realized I needed to vacuum so that's what I did.

The only good thing about going back to work is I won't be surrounded by food and well.. I get a paycheck. Now I just have to figure out how to workout without a gym.. or time and I will be golden!

Funny smut is some of the best kind. If you write it, I will read it.

Write the smutty book, I'd read it. I don't typically read smutty books, but if there was some humor in it, I'd pick it up. :) Good luck going back to work!!

Did you know that pumpkin pie is a suitable breakfast food? Just leave off the whipped cream lol. Sorry, don't mean to give you ideas. I hope the job thing goes well. I'd read funny smut. Johanna Lindsey wrote some funny scenes in her Mallory books so we know it sells. Go for it.

Are you telling me those normal smut books weren't written in humor?? I always laugh my head off at them... everyone has long sinewy legs to match their long flowing hair and hip bones and they can find each other sexy even covered in mud and bugs and ... you telling me that wasn't supposed to be funny? It was when *I* read it. Ooops.

awwww, understand the cube farm, I work in one as well. It's a job and it pays the bills, most days I'd rather be somewhere else. You do have a talent for writing, go for it. Actually a smutty funny book would probably sell. I bet we would all buy one, LOL. Would kick start your fame!!!

You have an awesome sense of humor, & a lovely new baby. I wouldn't want to leave home either with a new baby, but as you know we just have to do what we have to do. I think nearly everyone on here can relate well to all you've said. There just has to come a time when you truly purpose in your heart that you don't like things as they are, & you really want to make a permanent change for the better. Successful weight loss can not be viewed as just "a diet", it has to be a life long change & commitment to healthier eating habits. Every choice you make on what to eat affects both your weight & your overall health. So, the more good choice you make, the more likely you are to lose weight & to become more healthy. To me food a lot like money in the bank. If I want to be successful in weight loss & health, I must budget & plan carefully how my food intake (calories, carbs, etc.) is spent. I'm finding that it's much more positive for me to focus on eating healthier than on losing weight. If I make my food choices with my health in mind, the calories, fat, carbs, etc will automatically be reduced, & the weight WILL come off. As to cooking, no genius is required to pop prepared, frozen "diet" meals into your microwave, nor to boil some water & steam some nice, healthy veggies, or toss a yummy green salad, or to choose an apple over a bag of M&Ms. I'm not trying to come down all heavy & judgemental, just to share some of what I've learned through the years. I'm 59 & weigh 257 lbs, & have multiple health problems that are making it very hard for me to lose weight. I need to lose 55 lbs so I can have my left hip replaced, as it is causing me serious pain. In addition to trying to eat right, & use a recumbant exercycle & do a routine of low impact exercises. The weight is coming off, very slowly, but it is coming off. I wish I'd taken better care of my body when I was younger, but I have to focus on what I can do now to reach my goal of weighing around 140 lbs & feeling healthier & having more energy to enjoy life with my wonderful husband & family, for whatever time God gives me on this earth. I hope this will help you to see that it's really not all that hard to choose wisely, & take it just a little bit at a time. Each choice, each bit of exercise, each day is moving you closer to a new, thinner & healthier you. I wish you all the best in whatever your future may hold. The choices are ALL up to you!
