You bet. My daughter-in-law went through all that. The law all seems weighted away from the victim. It was absolutely astonishing to sit in court and see the circus - and I'm not talking about the proceedings, I'm talking about 'court' itself. So much navel gazing. 

Thanks guys believe it or not it helped knowing you all were sending good thoughts my way. The restraining order got denied. I'm doing OK. Changed my phone number. I will fill you in on the details later.  

So sorry you are going through all this drama! Sending prayers and sending positive thoughts your way. Be strong and take care. 

Why did the restraining order get denied? Maybe your stalker will leave you alone, knowing that you went to complain to the court.  

I had hoped to type this on my computer last night but I just didn't have time. So long story short behind my stalker she would blow up my phone day and night drive past my work drive my house once I even saw her following me in my rearview mirror to work. Finally I went to the police and the officer I spoke to didn't seem to take me very seriously. I think he was either is thinking who would stalk this woman or this woman is nuts and I'm just going to nod my head everything she says so she will go away. You did have me send a text saying but if she came on my property would be trespassing and could escalate to harassment or stalking charges. Then he told me not to even read the text that they would just stress me out more and delete the whole thread. THAT is where everything went wrong. I had an emergency order of protection against her and that stopped her from texting me sort of. She just used an app that changed her phone number to continue texting me so I couldn't prove it was her. She did come on my property after being told it would be trespassing she left a package but since the police didn't see her, and since I didn't see her, it wasn't allowed to be used in court. All I had then were text messages, but since the first officer had told me to delete them I didn't have them to show the judge. My word wasn't good enough. The judge did tell her to proceed with caution because I could always come back and try to get another order of protection against her but for that to happen she actually has to start doing stuff again. The sad thing is I almost had it by default because she wasn't there when the judge called my case but then the judge said well we're about a minute early so we'll wait a minute and she walked in the door at the very last second.  

She probably enjoyed being in the same room with you and seeing you up close. How crazy. Hope she realizes that she should get a life and leave you alone.  

She probably doesn't. One officer told me she had a history of this.

I repeat do not delete any text keep every single one ..... The officer was an ass if he told you that. If another package is delivered call the police. You weren't expecting anything so be on the safe side. I know the program you are taking about some one was doing that to my son last year he just let them text it stopped. If she has a history of this bs than follow up on it. Her finger prints should be on the package have them dust for them the next time. Bring her back to court ask for another judge My own daughter is went through this with her X's mom long story cause it involves my grandson. His mom half won. She didn't get the restraining order but the judge told this person she could not call,text or go near my daughter if she wants to see the grandchild her husband would need to make the arrangements. I am still pushing my daughter to go back to court. Get a security system to video tape if you can. My prays and good thoughts are with you. 

Thanks! Well, I changed my phone number so she can't text me now. The police did take the first package. I have NO idea what they did with it. I really should have gotten a lawyer. The first officer really had no interest in my case. He was an ass, and I would like to call and complain, but they probably wouldn't do anything about it. When I told the next officers he had told me to delete the threads, they all thought I must have miss heard him. Uh, no I know what he told me. I'm sorry your kids are going through this. It's definitely horrible. 

Oh my, unreal the cop told you to delete evidence!! It is scary and annoying to have someone stalking you and possible a danger to you. Happened to me back in college, before they called it stalking. Hope she leaves you alone. Dearby, hope your daughter wins with the ex's mom.
