Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 25 June 2014

I still need to weigh in. I still need to take a picture. I did make it to the gym though. For a total of 18 minutes 39 seconds. Then I felt like puking on the guy next to me so I left. He seemed like a nice guy. I didn't want to have to puke on him. lol I probably went back to the gym a little too soon but I feel so much better now. I tried Skirch's suggestion of the vapor rub on my feet before I went to bed and well.. I still coughed but I slept a whole heck of a lot better than I have all week. Maybe it's because I need a pedicure. Holy feet batman! Didn't notice how bad they were until I attempted to put something on the bottoms of them. Then again.. I can't really reach my feet all that well and seeing them?? HA! Maybe in the mirror. At this point I'm lucky if my shoes match.

Food? Um well I've logged what I ate so far today just to get an idea of what I'm able to eat these days. A payday bar has peanuts on it.. that makes it healthy right?? I think I'm going to begin logging again for both the shame factor and to make sure I'm eating enough. New diet plan.. have someone wedge their foot against your stomach and waaaala food portion control is easy peasy. I should probably start looking into protein shakes or something that are natural without all the crap in the store bought brands. I will probably appreciate them more soon and later when I'm chasing around a toddler and a newborn. Any ideas on shakes?

Anyone have a pillow? I want a nap.. and a pedicure.. and a hair cut.. mostly a nap though.

Check out the nutrition label on my whey protein shake in my breakfast food log. It is low fat, low carb and low sugar, sweetened with Stevia which is a natural plant leaf product, so no chemicals. I mostly use one scoop because I do get protein in my other meals. My armband told me I need 46 grams of protein a day. Log your foods and see if you are getting what you need!

Hey, I have asked a similar question about shakes in the past and found everyone has a favorite and they are all different. It really depends on what you are wanting.... A low carb one is not that easy to find. I joined Arbonne. They have a nutrition line that includes a shake and fibre powder. It is all natural and vegan friendly. The shake has a slight amount of real sugar in it but it does not appear to negatively affect my blood sugar and I am a diabetic. It is a bit pricey but if you want to go that direction, I am happy to give you the discount that I get. I don't generally like shakes but i love the chocolate one. I use unsweetened almond milk, the shake mix, the fibre mix, about 2 tbs of Almond butter for the good fats and 10 strawberries just because I like them. It makes about 2 large glasses full of shake if I add ice cubes to it. For me, it fills me up for about 6 hours. Lately, I have been having 2 a day and nothing else for the most part and I am not hungry. I like the fact that it is all natural and I know what is going into my body. Let me know if you want to try it and I'll hook you up. It ships directly to you so ordering from far away is not big deal. Oh and my discount is 35% I think and the price of the shake is about $68 or so prior to discount. Not sure on the fibre.,... I think it is less. Both last for a month if you use it once a day. The shake comes in Chocolate and Vanilla. The Chocolate is my favorite because it is as if I am getting a real treat. my mother prefers the vanilla because she can taste the fruit more. Go figure....

I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey, you can get it on Amazon for cheap....yummy variety of flavors....coupled with unsweetened almond milk, I have one for breakfast everyday for under 300 cals...I would never have enough protein without it...I have heard Arbonne is good too, I have a friend that sells Visalus but I didn't care for it...

I love your journals. It's not hard to remember what it feels like to be pregnant...as wonderful as it is, it's also not that glamorous either. My 17 month old keeps me oober busy. It took a while for the weight to come off...but I had a lot of help at FS. You're doing fine. Keep us posted.
