Man, my wife and I took pictures of each other for a before and after pictures.. I know that I made progress... but seeing the pictures now. is kind of discouraging.. not at all what I have pictured in my minds eye..I thought I made more progress than what the pictures show.. Not going to let this defeat me..

You have lost a small person! You are doing great no matter what the pics say. Just keep going and don't give in to the blues! Your health and spirit will thank you!

I hate pictures. When i look in a mirror i look fine, but when someone takes a picture ... you hang in there, find inspiration in any 'straw' you can cling to and hold on!

Ok the Lord has a good sense of humor.. yesterday I was discouraged after I looked at the pictures, today I woke up and measured my self.. went from 330.8 yesterday to 328.2 today..lol..

Hang with it! Pictures are only part of the full picture! No pun intended. Use a measuring tape, how your clothes fit, how you feel, etc. to measure progress, and, remember, you are already way ahead because you are simply TRYING to help yourself change, Good job!

Someone at work took a close to before picture of me, I'd already lost a few lbs. Ain't gonna lookat Iit till I'm at the after stage. You're doing great, don't worry about a picture.

The camera always adds pounds. Be confidant that, in person, you don't look like your photos to other people.

It is true that the camera adds 10 pounds! I am gonna get rid of my mirrors because the image in mine, as bad as it was, was not as bad as the pictures taken on vacation with my boys! Oh well I will hang those photos everywhere to keep me motivated. Please don't be discouraged-- you are on the right track!

I've found that when I was at my highest weight and not trying to make a change yet, I didn't really look at myself honestly. When getting dressed I would just focus on my face. I avoided full length mirrors and photos, and dressed in clothes designed to conceal. When I started losing weight, those blinders came off and I began to examine myself more critically. (I'm sure a lot more critically than anyone else!) Every flaw jumps out at me more now than it did before. It's good in a way, to see where you are really at and what is still ahead of you, and to be honest with yourself. But it can be discouraging too, when the reality hits you for the 1st time. I don't know if this is what you're going through, but it's something I've experienced before. You're probably being way more critical than others would be. But one day soon you will see a photo of yourself and you will look better than your mental image of yourself and you will have to keep staring to reconcile the two!

The picture I like is the image of your weight loss history. THAT is a fantastic picture! For me the MIRRORS in department store dressing rooms are shocking. I often tell my husband that we should get a full length mirror to use at home that reflects the image identical to the visage in that dressing room mirror. It is a real shocker!
