This is day 2 of my 16:8 intermittent fast. Finished dinner last night at 7pm so I can't eat before 11am today. It's difficult to remember I can't have anything - I used a different almond milk for my protein shake and without thinking took a tiny sip of it to taste, then stirred my fermenting blackberry wine and tasted a teaspoonful without thinking what I was doing. Not many calories there but it did interrupt the fast, oh well.

Only day 2 of it but I've found that while I'm hungry in the morning its a very doable thing. A cup of black coffee helps as does water. I know that in a few short hours I can eat, and having to do all my calories in an 8 hour period I'm going to feel pretty full and not hungry. My unofficial weight in this morning was about 237.8, that's 1.2 lbs less than last Friday. One more day to go, I'm hoping to get another .8 lbs off today but we'll see if the scale gods look down in my favor.

The fast should really help you get that .8 lbs off by tomorrow. It really works well. Your doing awesome!

That won't hurt you much. It's a goal. You'll do better tomorrow. It's all you can ever do. Regardless, do the rest of the day like you would have. Nice to see progress, isn't it?

On the Lean Gains website, where the 16:8 IF was popularized, they say that it won't hurt if you put a splash of milk in your coffee during the fast, so I wouldn't sweat the tiny tastes that you had this AM. I personally find it helpful to put Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup in my coffee in lieu of milk or creamer. No calories and a great taste. I also often add a scoop of Branch Chain Amino Acids to a large glass of water and drink it before a fasting workout. It has zero calories but tastes pretty good and helps prevent muscle breakdown.

I do that TX. Either a tablespoon of butter or coconut oil to boost the fat burning metabolism, or an ounce of heavy cream. Sometimes both.

Good luck with the fast. I admire your determination. I have never been able to fast without suffering terrible headaches. Love the tip above about the sugar free vanilla syrup in coffee. Have a great Fat Secret day!
