Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 20 May 2014

Um.. I think I will start the no cookies, cakes, breads, or pizza for 30 days over.. tomorrow. What can I say?? I'm an addict and I have cravings. I also had people bringing over free pizza and donuts and cookies all weekend long. Then the sad news Monday didn't help. Neither did the poptart for breakfast this morning. So yeah.. starting over tomorrow! I'm not doing too badly this afternoon so I think I'm back on track. I've got this!

I've come to realize that I am one sweaty mess at the gym now. I don't know if it's being pregnant, the extra weight, or what. What I considered light impact is now medium impact. Just going along mindlessly on the elliptical has me covered in sweat, with my face all red, and me huffing away like I'm actually working out hard. The me 6 months ago could run cirlces around the me of today. Either the kids are sucking the life out of me or I'm wimpy. Or well.. doing things is just harder when you're round. Like putting your gym shoes on. I had to actually unlace them and slip them on today. I think I'm developing fat feet again. GAH! I definitely have motivation to cut out all the crappy food. Fat feet are just well.. unacceptable. I'd have to go buy temporary shoes for the next 3 months. I'd rather wait and reward myself with cute strappy sandles that I can chase 3 kids in. Ok.. maybe running shoes would be better and duct tape.. or leashes.. or prisonish fencing around the parimeter so the lil guys can't escape and teenage boys can't get in. I'm liking the fence idea.

I should probably stop rambling now before I get myself into trouble. I think I need a nap.

You are providing oxygen for two. You are not wimpy.

Yeah, I always find it inspiring when women still have the energy to exercise and keep at it while pregnant. It's so hard for so many to make it to the gym as is. When I feel like I'm too tired to go, I actually think "if she can do it, then I can do it" about this one woman at the gym I spoke to on occasion who was in her third trimester.

I totally understand. I started my hcg plan on Saturday, and now I'm a few days out from my cycle and want firey hot cheetos really bad right now. I haven't given in, but I'm contemplating buying some on the way home.

I really hate being so controlled by my cravings.

the doctors on my plan wont let us do any exercise for 41 days till we get to the maintence plan. you can walk but only if you can talk without being out of breath. They told us if you excersize being on such a low cal diet you will lose muscle instead of fat because of the low carbs.

Here's my interpretation of your journal: a very busy pregnant working mom and wife who can barely get her shoes on is still working out and going to the gym. I'm so impressed. Hope you are proud of yourself too.

I tried to recommitt AGAIN over the weekend. Although I did go to the gym my eating wrecked it. Not horrible but def not helpful. Trying to get bak on track. Not as hardcore off the bat but easing in so hopefully it will stick. BTW haven't seen you in forever... what's up with that??? Oh and after seeing her concert pic you will def need to worry about keeping the boys out!

I think you are doing great! You are exercising for two right now and as for your shoes, you are lucky you can still see your feet let alone bend over and put your own shoes on. Lol!

Don't put so much pressure on yourself! How about just reducing the amount of the stuff you want to stay away from, instead of going cold turkey - less disappointment and perhaps more realistic. I think you have enough on your to-do list and well done for still working out. It will make a difference once you deliver your new little one.

Um, you're pregnant and working out, you are definitely not wimpy. It's just going to be harder when you have a little guy growing in your belly. Just keep trying to limit the sweets and treats. You're doing great!
