Mindfulness… it's everywhere… wonderfully! This afternoon, I'm going to a meditation workshop called "Mixing mindfulness & everyday living". I'm not sure what that means, but if its another way I can be mindful, I'm all for it. Mindful eating has helped me so very much, so if I can learn to bring mindfulness into my everyday life through meditation -- look out world - LOL! I've never been into meditation, or felt that I was good at it or really even got it, so we shall see. And you'll be the first to know!

I've been to an early morning workout. I was tired yesterday & went to bed early so was up before 5, but did sleep well. So, it was a 6 am HIIT workout for me. DH gets home tonight after being away since Mon. We'll have a quiet night tomorrow, then out with friends Sat night & Sun is lunch for me with a girlfriend, then dinner with MIL. So, a bit of a busy weekend, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity to use all I've been learning to navigate through a time that has in the past been more of an eating struggle for me. Another reason for the world to look out!

But first, for this one day, I'll pray --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And, I'll continue to pray, breathe, journal, log, express & maybe meditate my way through this one day and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion. I'm so very grateful for each of caring you, my family & IRL friends, a good nights sleep, sunshine, reduced allergy symptoms, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox

I love meditation. Got out of the habit of it but if you can get into the habit or practice, you might like it. It means sitting still which I'm not sure if you are good at. Me, I can sit still til the cows come home. Even though it's years since I've done it, I can still 'empty my mind' at times. It probably helps that there's isn't much in there to begin with :) Can't wait for updates

I love trying to meditate - it's very hard to shut off the mind though. One of the things I'd heard was 'count back from 100 by 3's' but I've done that so much I can still multitask mentally. Yesterday during therapy I was imagining my usual beautiful ocean hut in bora bora and would say '97 beautiful seagulls in the pretty blue sky' then '94 fantastic warm seashells lining the shore'.... it helped.
