Happy Friday, Buddies!

Now that's what I'm talking about, folks! I had a down day yesterday and got TONS of supportive comments from all of you. THIS is why FatSecret works for me and helps me to never give up!

My history in this phase of life has been pretty good as a result of FS - sticking with it despite having ups and downs in the loss column.

Yesterday's discussion was about calories...I agree that MORE calories and protein may budge me along to a loss.

Some folks suggested I go down in calories - but they may not have understood I am slowly increasing to see how I can push the metabolism.

The monkey wrench is I have hypothyroid and take medication for it - so my metabolic processes are not like other people.

But eating 1200 calories and below was too low...so I am cautiously going to 1300-1400 calories as long as I get 130grams or more of protein daily. I suspect I may go up one more time.

This is why I wrote yesterday that I felt fat and like I was overeating - I am not used to eating that many calories. It is weird.

Extra protein satiates me so it seems like I am eating when I am not hungry...
and, of course, one must continue to eat healthfully even if there are enough calories for carbohydrate-laden foods!

I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

Yep.. after lo-cal it's hard to step up the calories; feels wrong. I try like you to get the protein in without feeling like I'm going to explode. Takes effort. Happy Friday!

I am increasing my calories from 1400 to 1600 so I can relate!! It does feel wrong, it goes against everything we were ever programmed to believe about weight loss.... but here goes nothing! :-)
