We are doing a room rearrange at our house I'm super excited about. My daughter will have her own room upstairs with her brother and their playroom will become my husband's hobby room. While we are painting those 2 rooms and rearranging items, I'm going to paint my bedroom a different color. Not sure what yet though, it hasn't been changed in 10 years!

I've also been toying with coloring my hair a bit differently. It's been dirty blonde/light brown/highlight for a long time. Over the past few months I've let my natural color grow in which is a mousey lightish brown (and yikes gray, only in the front, of course!) Usually I get a light ash brown to cover the gray, but I opted for a medium brown. My idea is a darker base color with just a very few blonde highlights. Hope it works out as I imagine. I should have time this weekend to do it!

Happy Humpday!

Fun! New colors are always good for hair or walls lol I change my hair up a lot, I figure, it's just hair. I used to be light brown/blonde, now I do a dark mahogany which my hubby has decided he really likes. Your house will feel "new" with the paint job too! Have fun.

The house we're living in was a foreclosure, and I think the people that had it prior to us started doing something in EVERY room...so we're slowly putting things to rights...the thing I'm most excited about is putting the front porch back on, and actually making the "front" room, the livingroom - it's now the bedroom...haven't figured out the thinking on that one...so when the porch happens, we'll switch the rooms, and the livingroom will be the bedroom, and the bedroom will be the livingroom! (I know - what??) Hopefully that'll happen this spring/summer - then we can tackle the rest of the place...........a real work in progress!

Have fun with the hair coloring and go for something different. I just did and I'm really pleased with the outcome. I'm like you grey hair only in the front and no where else. I have very dark brown hair, so dark it looks black until you look at it closely under a light beam and realize it's not black at all. More of a dark red brown. Usually I would color my hair pure black but this time I decided to see what I could do to pull out the red. I had it colored a dark brown with more of a redish undertint. I love the result. So does everyone else. So I say go for it. Try something different.

kmk, I understand exactly what you are saying! We have an old house with a strange layout, we have a room we've always called the dining room, yet you can't put a table in there because you would have to walk all the way around it to get from one room to the next, so we just have our computer in there. I can blame the weird layout on my parents, as they redid the house through most of my youth and then I bought it from them, lol. I would love to have a front porch with a big ol' swing!

Thanks Stephi, I've always leaned more toward blonde especially in the summer even spent some time as a platinum, but the older I get the more I like darker hair and bonus hubby has switched from finding blondes attractive to finding brunettes more attractive :)

Oh have so much fun decorating. "This old house" will be "check out my new pad"....LOL. I, too, was platinum blonde forever. Then one day I went dark brown. Everyone loved it! And I've been dark brown ever since. I do occasionally change it up every now and then by doing something with a reddish tone. Anything to hide my complete head of salt and pepper! Have fun with the new look(s).
