Hi everybody ...

I have been trying to eat low carb for a while now ... no bread ,no pasta , getting most carbs from veggie sources. But I have to admit , and I have tried Atkins induction before and never could do it. 20 net carbs is VERY low , I can easily go over than in veggies alone ( and I love veggies ) ! However I decided that now that I have prepped myself and have already been eating low carb I would give it my all and try again , and see what the results look like.

So this week I am going to make more effort than I ever have before and do Atkins Induction phase. Yesterday my net carbs were 20.75 . Thats the lowest I have ever been in a day. So everyday this week I am going to make a large effort and do this. Lets home the scales applaud my effort.

One day at a time girl! just make sure that 15 of those net carbs are from veggies, not other sources like the protein shakes or fillers in processed meats. It does make a difference.

The first two weeks are always the hardest! I ate a lot of cheese and hamburger just to keep myself sane, now I don't usually eat over forty carbs a day, without even thinking about it:)

I am gonna stop doing the protein shakes this week mummy... I did have them yesterday but I realized it used too much of my carb budget so I am stopping for the rest of the week. Im trying to think like money , like I have 20 carb dollars to spend and use it as wisely as possible. And roxana , i feel like I could do 40 net carbs quite easy but I wanna try to do induction and see how I feel and I will go from there. I have lost 14 pounds so far this year ... and I feel like it is all about learning. trial and error and finding what will be right for me. But I do not plan to stop this time. I want this too bad.

I've done atkins in the past and I thought it was helpful to always follow their food restrictions by level. Otherwise I was eating veggies that were high in carbs only to find out I wasn't suppose to add them til level 2 or 3. Good luck keeping with it! I never had the resistance. Now I just try to keep all the processed breads, sugars and crap out of my diet and stick with more natural foods. It stays atkinish for the atkin challenged. :)

I printed out the induction level food list last night and I am trying to plan my meals based on the list so that I dont accidentally eat veggies that are carb loaded. I just need to prove to myself that I can get through induction for at least a week. I would love to do 2 full weeks , we will see how I feel after this week. Right now I am making my grocery list to plan my meals for the week. : )
