Day 1 of operation healthy pregnancy was a success! I managed to workout for a half hour and kept my calories below 1800 calories despite having bisquits and gravy for breakfast. Sticking to a chef salad for lunch and roasted chicken breast with tons of veggies for dinner helped balance things out. And.. all healthy food for the baby so win-win. I'm still convinced bisquits and gravy could have been healthy.. it had protein.

Today I'm going to have to skip the gym at work but I'm going to make it up at home tonight. I'm not hoping to make it up.. I'm going to make it up. Now that I have all my inhalers I feel 100% better. I can do things without gasping for air! I don't feel as tired either. It's amazing what being able to breath can do. I might not have wanted asthma but I'm loving the inhalers right now.

Other than that.. no new news. I did discover you can shut your husband up when he's complaining about all his aches and pains the phrase "My uterus hurts." trumps all.

LOL ... my uterus hurts. Classic!!! Congrats on a successful "healthy pregnancy day!" You did it right ... balancing things out in the end while still indulging in the things your crave or love. It's all about balance, isn't it, pregnant or not? Love your determination ... may you have deep cleansing breaths today, in all you do!!!

Love the "my uterus hurts" phrase. My son and husband were comparing scars and I asked if they wanted to see my c-section scar, because I gave life with it....I won for best scar :)

You guys are hilarious. I have never given birth so can't play this game. Cheers to you all!

Can I still play the uterus card even though not pregnant? Or do I have to stick to my old standby 'my spleen hurts' because just seemed mysterious enough (around here) that no one would question it. I'm with you - biscuits and gravy ARE nutritious. And they stick to the ribs. And the butt. And hips.. hmmm.. I want biscuits and gravy now. I think as long as you don't have jam on the biscuits you're safe. LOL. That just reminded me of that old joke about two ladies sharing their 'diet tips'. One said 'I ate 6 ears of corn last night but I didn't add any butter ...' and the other comments, 'neither do pigs...' Put's it all in perspective. B&G are good.. just everything in moderation and we'll all be fine :-)

Good one!! and you got him to shut up too!! Glad to hear that Day 1 was a success even with biscuits and gravy! Things you have to do to keep your baby happy!

That baby's going to be happy with the healthy foods. I'm glad you can breathe, I'm sure that's making life much easier. I'm sure exercising is much more appealing when you can breathe. Husbands shouldn't even be allowed to complain about aches and pains when you're pregnant, so I'm glad you found a way to shut him up. :)

I always play the "my uterus hurts" card whenever that TOM is around! I imagine I'll be intolerable as a pregnant woman... :) Glad "Operation Healthy Pregnancy" is off to a good start!

Hilarious comeback. Great job with your healthy pregnancy routine. When are you due again? I'm having so much difficulty keeping up with everyone.
