BuffyBear's Journal, 15 January 2014

Thought I should tell you that FS sent me a very nice e-mail apologizing for my technical difficulties and telling me that they are working on fixing it!

Results on second week on the 16:8 schedule. Only lost a pound. Cannot complain since I haven't been following my WOE as strictly as I should. This goes to show that, at least for me, the 16:8 is only a tool to use in conjunction with a good eating plan. It is not a "stand alone" weight loss method.

Got to run - will be late for work!

Looking at your loss over the last month - it definitely agrees with you. Do you think limiting the number of hours you can eat, makes you more mindful of the amount you eat?

How long have you been IF? It seems to be working great for you.

You lost. That's what matters.

That's good. I'm glad they wrote you. Well done on the pound. I'd take it. Today one of my clients told me that he lost 60 lbs since last June and that he figured, if I could do it, he could do it. Now I need him for inspiration.

Not to be a Negative Nelly, but they won't fix it. *lol* (source: past experience with FS tech support)

Tracy - Yes & No. Yes, I have to be mindful not to eat during fasting hours. But no, since this has turned off my hunger, I am not temped by the "off plan" foods. I am usually surprised by the number of calories I have left to eat at the end of the day! For example, last night I was under 1,000 even after dinner, so I made myself a smoothie.

davidsmom - started January 1st. It is perfect for my lifestyle but might not be right for everybody.

Buffy, you are doing great ... that is 4 pounds in two weeks. Right? Didn't you drop 3 lbs last week? Look at the whole picture! Keep on doing what you are doing. :)

Mom - I did not mean to sound negative. 2 pounds a week is good for most people, but phenomenal for me.

2 lbs a week is a lot to lose. 1 lb a week is smooth sailing. You are doing great! I am here to let you know .... it is going to be your year!
