Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 26 September 2013

Holy pickles batman! That's all I'm gonna say.

I've been good about exercising. Most weeks I workout for 30 minutes 5 days a week. It helps with the stress, keeps me from wanting to strangle my co-workers, and keeps me sane. But.. it also makes be hungry all the freakin time! Somehow I have to find a balance. That and I need to stop letting the guys talk me into buying pizza, and ice cream... And I need to stop feeling so mad at myself that I buy candy. Then I feel like I have to hide the candy so I devour the entire bag on the way home. Because for some reason my family would care??? Uh no.. they'd just want to eat my candy. They'd probaby do back flips I bought candy.

So yeah.. not proud of it but the weight is back. Not all of it... just enough that nothing fits anymore. So.... I'm going to annoy all of you until I get my much larger keester back on track. At least I didn't gain all of it back...

We ahve all don that at one time or other DFW. We are here in this same boat with you. I know i'll be here for support if you need some. You need to sit down and seriously talk with yourself about why you eat that way.No one here is going to judge you for that. I know I won't. Take some time, but make sure you start putting your food in the daily calendar, log your exercise, and let off that steam in your journals. I know I'll be here to sound off to, Shoot, I'll even go as far as giving you my email addy or even my cell number so you have someone to talk to in those moments when you are in need!! I'm glad you caught yourself when you did. You were doing great!! I'll be here if you need me!!! Lu

Thanks Lu I might take you up on that! I know I have to figure things out or at least figure out what's triggering it! Maybe I do just need to vent. Lord knows giving people "I wish you would disappear" glares isn't working. Maybe I need all you incredible people to smack me and tell me to get back in line when I disappear. lol

Girl, I want you to wake up and get twiggy!! It's fall, almost winter, therefore no need for ice cream. And the candy is for the kids - they have endless energy and unless you can do exacting all the same moves as they do everyday then candy is out for you!! I'm with Pumakitten - if you feel like you're falling off the wagon and need to text, I'll give you my cell # too! Think twiggy...must be twiggy!!!

Hooray! You didn't fall off the face of the earth, what a relief. I survived a pot luck today at work! You can say no to candy just like I said no to the other 4 desserts I was eyeballing! YOU CAN DO IT. *smack* *smack* *smack*

I am weak when people want pizza and ice cream too, so I feel your pain there. You've been so good with the exercise, now you just need to get the eating under control and you'll be golden. That's the hardest part for me too, especially when people are talking you into buying pizza and ice cream. We can do this! If you buy only healthy foods, you can only eat healthy foods. Good luck!

Oh, honey, I feel your pain! My husband has been on an ice cream *making* kick. Store-bought ice cream I can turn down, but ice cream my loving hubby made with his two dear hands (one to hold the churn, one to turn the crank)? Uh uh. No can do. But here's a deal: I'll smack you, then you smack me! :-) *smack*
