Hey here:
Right now the Dr. Oz show has Dr. Davis on the show - the author of "Wheat Belly" who discusses why modern crops of wheat have an enzyme/protein that stimulates the appetite for more carbohydrates!
We gain weight, increase obesity, diabetes, etc.
He rules - and he is right!
It is addictive!
Let's rock it together!
I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

My husband and I did the wheat belly diet for about a year. He lost weight..I was pregnant. We still try to stick to it but are not as regimented as we once were. It does make a difference in the way your joints feel and you energy levels so there is something to it. Stick with it, he lost 35 pounds. :)

Interesting about the joint comment. My limb joints feel better since I started a high fat diet.

I had to quit eating any thing with whole wheat in it..I was fixing whole wheat toast..pasta..and even eating crackers...I went back to white breads and stay away from any whole wheat any thing..don't miss it now..but I loved whole wheat bread...:O)

This is very true. Most carbs, other than veggies, but particularly sugar, and wheat, which are heavily present in processed foods, stimulate your appetite, screw up your sense of satiety, mess with your cholesterol levels in bad ways, and cause inflammation throughout your body...not just your joints. Best thing I ever did was getting rid of wheat and sugar.
Think about why it is that restaurants give you bread first thing.

I am amazed that when I eat more grains the weight I either don't lose or gain. Its sad really what they have done to food!
