Had my cake & ate it too... mindfully, slowly, savoring each bite. And, while I thoroughly enjoyed it, it wasn't quite as high up on that pedestal that I'd placed it. After I finished it, I was satisfied & had no cravings for more:)! Could I be on to something? While I'm not ready to publish my lab results yet after only 1 test, I'm feeling optimistic that this may be what works for me for now. I think knowing that in another 2-3 weeks, I can choose a sweet treat of my liking again, plan for it, look forward to it & eat it in a way that I thoroughly enjoy it, has lessened the aura of sugar for me. Also, not having eaten sugar for so long (most of the last 3 months) has hopefully re-set my sugar threshold.
So, I'm feeling good today, happy with my progress & optimistic about my journey. I'll begin my day in prayer --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
And am ready to take today as this one day, meal, moment, bite and emotion at a time and work through it by praying, breathing, meditating, logging, posting & expressing. xoxox
