Beginning my day in prayer (the way I always need to)! --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

And taking it one day, meal, moment, bite & emotion at a time as I accept that I am a work in progress, trying to learn from my mistakes, understand myself better & navigate this weight/sugar issue journey as best I can.

But have to laugh at myself, for yesterday after telling myself that I needed a break from logging & was going to focus on mindful eating instead, I couldn't do it! I was too anxious about how many calories I was eating & realized it was better for me, now at least, on the weekends, to log so I could relax & enjoy my food. I hadn't thought of logging providing that benefit before! So, at least for now, logging on the weekends is back!

Also, wanted to share a link with my FS friends. I know some of you have already watched the Hungry for Change movie. If you haven't and/or if you'd like to hear more from some of the experts who are part of the movie, they are offering free screenings & additional short videos at http://www.hungryforchange.tv/getting-started. The Getting Started short video talks a lot about the negative impacts of sugar -- something I need to constantly be reminded of! Happy watching! xoxox

You can do this - I have complete faith and believe in you. Love the movie - need to watch the Getting Started video. I've started logging 'after' now instead of before as a reinforcement to my mental data base that I'm making good choices eating instinctively. I spent a night of anguish after researching my RDI at another website that recommended it be 300 less a day than I'm trying to average now but then reminded myself it's all estimates at best because I'm following generalities instead of something custom designed for me based on my body, my lab's, etc. I agree the processed sugar is can be a problem if it keeps your system body labs geared up for a cycle of eat, repent, repeat.

God Bless. I try to start everyday by reading a chapter in the Bible. For a year and a half I did this every morning religiously (:-)). Sometimes I will now skip a day of reading. However, not a day goes by where I do not ask Him for help through prayer. Enjoy your Sunday. Thanks for the link.

Take a deep breath - some day we'll get this thing down pat. BTW - Love FunBella's closing line!
