Into my last week here in Fort Scott, KS. I can't believe the time has gone by so fast!

Anyway, so I still haven't been exercising like I should. There's really no excuse, I've just been lazy. And now I can feel myself getting out of the shape I was just beginning to get into! So while I am determined again to get firm up I'm just not sure I'll have time during my last week of packing and working to do that. Really I'm not sure I want to worry about it and make the time. We will see.

I have done Week 1 of the One Hundred Push Ups Challenge (you guys may have seen the post about it) Here are my #s of this week.

Day 1: 47
Day 2: 61
Day 3: 78

You do a set amount in decreasing numbers that day and then your last set is your max, day 1 I think I did 13, 2 was 17, but 3 I did 30! Woo hoo. I am going to continue this...week two here I come!

I've got some pictures from out here, but I will post them when I have a little more time.

Oh, I did get an email today about a job position doing archaeology field work. The guy wants me to come in for an interview at my convenience. This is great, but I've also applied for some library jobs that I want a little more. Because they pay more and they're not working outside doing hard manual labor. So do I go to the interview and take the job and then if I get offered one that I want leave? Or do I just not do the interview? Any advice? Basically I don't want to NOT have a job because I'm broke and it would be great to have one, but I don't know! Anyway, tomorrow I am going to call the specific library branches and find out if the positions have been filled. Maybe then I can weigh my options a little better. Plus, I guess I could always go in for the interview and then not take the job. Blah.

Good job on the pushup challenge! I think it's a good idea to call the libraries to see what's available before you accept another job that you wouldn't like as well. Good luck!

Definitely go to the interview, you don't want to burn a bridge that hasn't even been built yet! Doesn't mean that you absolutely have to take the job, but options are good. Tia

Even though you aren't getting the same level of exercise in, you are still doing something! Good job with the push up challenge. I am pitiful at push ups (I think I would be in the 10 or less category for the full push ups!). Maybe that means I SHOULD do the challenge :) You could add sit ups and leg lifts to your push up routine to round out your workout in lieu of other exercise. They're easy to break up into small segments and you can do them just about anywhere! I think it's a good idea to call the libraries and find out about the status of the jobs so you can make an informed decision about whether to go to the other job interview. And you could go to the interview and wait to see if they offer you the job and decide then. Depending on how quick they do their interviews, you might get a few more weeks to hear from the library jobs. Good luck!

You're doing a great job with the push-up challenge. I am doing the challenge also. I never thought that I could do it. It's amazing. As far as job interview goes, I agree with with mbhpro, stmueller, and evelyn64 Good Luck

Hey girl... just because you take a job, doesn't mean you have to keep it, if you see something better comes along!! Just go with your best face forward, it may be the "best" available, for now. Nothing a 2 week notice can't take care of, either. ;) You may end up really liking it, too! Most job interviews are just that and they usually have others to interview and say that "they will call you", and you'll wait. :) NO worries, unless they call and you can decide then to take it or not. Keep on kickin' it up!

You are doing great like usual...now you need to concentrate on the job hunt! Having in interview doesn't mean you have to take the job by any means...never know you might really like what they offer you! I am kind of in the same boat right now...I love my job and what I do, but found out that our company is moving to a new location about 40 miles farther then what I already travel. I am leaving my options open..if something comes a long and I think it is good then I will go, if not then I will stay, kind of different then you, but the same too. You will know when the right job comes along and if taking this one until then is what you do then that is what you do! You will know what the right decision is when it comes up! Best of luck with everything!

you reminded me... I need to get back into exercising, too. laziness all around over here. Sounds like some tough decisions you have there career-wise, but I am sure the best option will make itself clear over time. sooner rather than later, hopefully!! good luck!
