Food Porn alert!!!
Olives, to whet the appetite (after I had half eaten the dish):
Pide or the Turkish version of Pita/:
Lamachun (spiced meat and veggies topped on flatbread then baked like a pizza:
How I have been told it is correct to eat lamachun (and if it's not I have been making a prat of myself in lots of Turkish restaurants)
Salad (with my favourite lightly pickled red cabbage that I utterly failed to eat... :():
I got distracted from the salad by a mixed grill:
I wish I could say I had resisted eating one or both of these (I usually only eat one at most, but they work so well with coffee):
How did I eat all that lot? Simple I didn't I left about half the salad, some of the bread and a bit of the kebabs. But not a lot.
I'm still utterly stuffed now over 14h later. So I've not eaten anything as-yet. But if I do get hungry I have 2 Clementines on my desk, and celery and salsa, and a pot of chicken jambalaya soup in the fridge (All of which added together would be less than 500cal).
Based on previous experience however: If I am still full after my lunchtime wanderings then I am unlikely to want to eat anything until this evening at the earliest, and even then it's more likely that I'll get home, flop on the sofa, and then before I go to bed, have to make myself have a tin of soup. Not because I'll actually be hungry even by then, but because if I don't have something I'll wake-up ravenous in the morning, eat too early and make myself feel nauseous all day.
So even if I do get hungry and have something this afternoon & proper meal this evening I'm unlikely to have more than 700-1000cal today and. I'm still looking at a >1000cal deficit across the 2 days. And as I suspect it's a tin of soup before bed it's more like 1500cal.
And that's before I take my lunchtime walks into consideration. So NO I won't be starving myself like I did last week. I was bloody stupid in allowing myself to eat like that. Rodizio isn't happening this week (it might have happened today but I really can't face it). So I will be allowing myself to have 1000cal or more the rest of the week. 1days fast NOT 6!
